  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>To provide a high quality specialist child and adolescent psychotherapy service to clients with complex mental health problems including severe, enduring and multiple disorders, and challenging behaviour. </li>
<li>To offer advice, consultancy and supervision, and support the work of other CAMHS staff providing psychological treatment. </li>
<li>To participate on the local CAMHS duty rota and undertake emergency assessments when and where required (i.e. community, hospital site, children's homes)</li>
<li>To provide training to a range of qualified and unqualified staff across mental health areas, as agreed.</li>
</ul>
<p>You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team offering generic and specialist assessments and treatment as well as providing complex case consultations. As well as individual child psychotherapy, we also offer parent child relationship focused interventions, parent infant psychotherapy and STPP.</p>
<p>We operate an out of hours service, but for this role you would be expected to work in office hours 9-5. Most of your appointments are likely to be offered at our base in Marlborough, but there will be some travelling for community and school visits, we also offer appointments and consultations on line via Teams. <strong>Applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a car for work, if necessary adjustments can be made in line with the equality act (2010)</strong></p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Clinical Psychologist (Grade 8a) to join our friendly Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North East Wiltshire, and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS),for a period of six months.</p> <p>This locum role is primarily based in Chippenham and Devizes, while providing clinical services to the older adult population throughout Wiltshire.</p> <p>Working as part of both the Wiltshire PTS and CMHT offers psychologists the opportunity to treat a range of disorders and presenting difficulties. In line with AWP Trust policy, all newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of the advertised role banding. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>HCRG Care Group Wiltshire Children and Young Peoples emotional wellbeing service are currently seeking a passionate and experienced children and young person's counsellor to work in the team. You will provide support to children and young people who may be experiencing a range of issues, such as but not limited to anxiety, gender dysphoria, depression, family problems and self- harm. Support will be provided in person and/or remotely depending on the clients needs.</p><p>This role is part of the wider wellbeing team who offer early support such as group work and positive activities with the aim of preventing escalation to more specialist CAMHS services.</p><p>You will have an active caseload of children and young people within the getting help sphere of support and will use evidence-based therapeutic models. Low intensity, early interventions will be delivered in a range of settings and will include parental and family support.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul> <li>Hold a case load of clients, delivering outcome-based interventions to support their wellbing</li> <li>Communicate effectively with a wide variety of professionals relevant to the role</li> <li>To deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people, working independently which may at times mean lone working</li> <li>To undertake professional initial assessments of young people and formulate a plan for their treatment within the guidelines of the service</li> <li>To provide ongoing (up to 10 weeks) and one-off counselling to young people</li> <li>To support alternatives to one-to-one therapeutic work i.e., group work</li> <li>To maintain confidential case notes and records in a timely manner ensuring that they are stored securely using the specified case management systems</li> <li>To support outcome focused reporting of interventions</li> <li>To develop links to other agencies and services and have a good understanding of local services for signposting and onward referrals</li> <li>To positively manage risk and recognise and pro-actively respond to child protection and safeguarding issues escalating and referring as required</li> <li>To undertake regular supervision in line with regulation guidance</li></ul><p><em>A full list of role responsibilities can be found in the attached job description.</em></p>
