<p>This is an opportunity for a qualified counsellor to join our team. You will be working in a supportive team environment where you can benefit from flexible working whilst supporting adults by providing specialist bereavement counselling from Glangwili General Hospital site.</p>
<p>The Bereavement Support Service is a specialist Counselling Service within Carmarthenshire. The successful applicant will be based in Carmarthen, however will need to be willing to travel to other sites within Carmarthenshire if required, such as our partner site at Ty Bryngwyn. We offer a blended model of engagement, including the use of virtual platforms as well as face to face.</p>
<p>The applicant will require experience working within a team and in providing bereavement counselling.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be working within the Bereavement Support Service providing counselling to service users within Carmarthenshire, however you will need to be willing to work across the county of Carmarthenshire within Hywel Dda University Health Board if required. You will be conducting assessments and providing counselling supportwith a mixed model approach face to face, telephone and online<strong>.</strong> You will be required to work autonomously as part of a team, alongside and in partnership with other Healthcare professionals and Services within clinical settings.</p>
<p>The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.</p>

  <p>We are pleased to invite applications to join the Training Team at National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW). NIAW are looking for keen Sonographers Trainer to support the delivery of high-quality Radiology and Radiographic training.</p>
<p>The bank worker will work within the multidisciplinary NIAW team to deliver clinical ultrasound training, clinical supervision, undertake competency assessments and/or deliver simulation support at the NIAW. The bank worker will work with the team to support the delivery of the NIAW 3-year strategy.</p>
<p>NIAW is a state-of-the-art facility with a primary function of providing high quality training to the imaging workforce across Wales. The facility includes a 100-seat lecture theatre, two workstation classrooms, three ultrasound suites and ultrasound simulation room, all with dedicated state of the art, audio-visual equipment.</p>
<p>In addition to supporting training for a variety of professions, the Academy hosts corporate and CPD events, supports with the development of training courses for the Radiology workforce and acts as a natural hub for innovation and research within Radiology.</p>

They will undertake and interpret a range of ultrasound scans, provide high-quality reports, and offer professional advice to colleagues, trainees, and other healthcare professionals.   <p>The Home Treatment Crisis Resolution Team is based at Bronllys Hospital, near Brecon. The team provides Acute Psychiatric Care to individuals at home rather than inpatient care. The service operates between 9:00am and 9:00pm, 7 days a week. The service is provided to the populations of Breconshire, Radnorshire and Ystradgynlais. The team works closely with the Community Mental Health Teams based in the catchment area and inpatient ward.</p> <p>The role includes assessing the suitability of home treatment for individuals presenting with acute mental illness or severe distress, which can be safely managed in the person's home.   <p>To work as a Team member in providing a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Service (CR/HT) in Powys. The CR/HT service will provide a service for adults who are experiencing a Mental Health crisis and are at risk of admission to Hospital. Intensive Home Treatment will be provided in collaboration with the service user and in the least restrictive setting, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year as per rota. CR/HT will also facilitate the early discharge of those admitted to inpatient units, through intensive but time limited intervention in the community.</p> <p>The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.</p>

Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Practitioner

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking an experienced and compassionate counsellor to join our team and help lead the delivery of a responsive and person-centred bereavement service.</p>
<p>The post holder will provide high-quality pre- and post-bereavement counselling to individuals and families, based on evidence-based practice and in line with statutory requirements and NHS policies. Working across hospital and community settings, you will support both adults and children, ensuring safe, individualised, and effective care.</p>
<p>This role also involves co-ordinating the day-to-day running of the counselling service, including the supervision and development of counsellors, students, and volunteers. You will contribute to service planning and development, and be responsible for maintaining high standards of practice and clinical governance.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and bring both clinical expertise and leadership experience within a bereavement or counselling setting.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role involves day-to-day coordination of the Bereavement Support Service, including the management and support of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of high-quality bereavement care across the Hywel Dda University Health Board area, underpinned by research evidence, best practice, and clinical expertise.</p> <p>They will hold shared responsibility for managing a defined caseload independently, using recognised assessment tools and clinical judgement to deliver holistic, personalised therapeutic care. This includes assessing, monitoring, and coordinating support programmes in partnership with clients and other professionals, tailored to individual needs, context, and culture -- with the aim of promoting health and empowerment.</p> <p>The post holder will be expected to recognise, report, and respond appropriately to any unsafe practices, while actively promoting high standards of care.   <p></p><p>We currently have an opportunity for
a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low
Secure Service (1 male and 2 female wards), Heatherwood Court treats patients with
complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p>We are looking for applicants with
experience of working with service users with complex needs and risk behaviours
along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates
who have received DBT training, but would offer training to suitable candidates
on appointment.</p><p>This post will join an established, dynamic
team of psychologists including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, , Forensic Psychologist and
Assistant Psychologists, working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary
team. The team are also supported by Positive Practice Workers, graduate
psychologists in blended role combining both support worker shifts and clinical
days with the teams. There are also regular opportunities to network with the
wider Iris Care Group qualified psychologists within Departmental Meetings and Psychology
away days.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Prosthetist to join the NHS prosthetic service based in Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff. This role involves delivering a high quality prosthetic service across both adult and paediatric caseloads including those with complex needs. The successful candidate will also provide a highly specialised service for war veterans, utilising advanced techniques and state of the art prosthetics.</p>
<p>The Prosthetic and Amputee Rehabilation Centre ( PARC) in Cardiff provides care and support for approximately 1700 users. The service provides individualised assessment, the issue, maintenance and repair of prosthetic devices and ongoing clinical patient care. The prosthetic team currently consists of 9 Prosthetists and 11 technical staff offering a clinical service to a large and varied caseload supported by a full multidisciplinary team. The multidisciplinary team consist of consultants, prosthetists, psychologists, physiotherapists, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, admin and technical support, all working together in a patient focussed service. The prosthetic clinical service is supported by onsite manufacture by a highly skilled technical workforce.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> To deliver a high-class prosthetic service for an adult and paediatric caseload, including those with complex needs and provide a highly specialised prosthetic service for war veterans utilising advanced techniques and state of the art prostheses. </p> <p> To assist in the clinical and managerial leadership of the prosthetist team and with the development and implementation of clinically effective and efficient prosthetic service protocols and policies. </p> <p> To undertake highly specialised prosthetic assessment and treatment of patients with a wide variety of routine and highly complex needs. </p> <p> To assist the Clinical Lead Prosthetist in providing clinical leadership and supervision to prosthetists and prosthetic technicians. </p> <p>To assist the Orthotic and Prosthetic Services Manager and Clinical Lead Prosthetist in the strategic development of efficient and effective evidence based Prosthetic Services within the Health Board.</p>
