  <p><strong>Are you dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people?</strong></p> <p><strong>Do you thrive in environments where you can help to deliver impactful, short-term interventions?</strong></p> <p>We, the Crisis and Home Treatment Service (CAHTS), embedded within the Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), are looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to join us, based in Swindon.</p> <p>You will be required to participate in a Full time working pattern within the multi-disciplinary team to provide cover for a core day 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday -Sunday and Bank Holidays. You will also participate in covering the service's 24 hour on call service on a rota basis.</p> <p>We work closely alongside and liaise with the Getting More Help Teams on supporting children, young people (CYP) and their families experiencing complex mental health needs.</p> <p>Our CYP might be at risk of inpatient hospital admission or transitioning out of inpatient care; our role is to provide intensive, short-term support within the community. No two days are the same, with plenty of variety in this role and lots of opportunities for learning.</p> <p><strong>This role carries an incentive premium of £3,500 which will be paid in instalments over an 18th month period.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>In CAHTS, we're committed to deliver a high quality, comprehensive mental health services for children, young people and their families who are experiencing additional mental health needs.</p> <p>Children and Young people within our service are often experiencing an increased level of mental health needs, including exhibiting increased risk behaviours. Whilst this can sometimes feel daunting, we have a strong multi-disciplinary leadership team who are responsive to the needs of the team.</p> <p>You might support CYP and their families with psycho-social education or provide practical support, drawing upon evidence-based interventions.</p> <p>Liaison, advice and consultation with wider CAMHS, colleagues in Children Services and a range of external agencies such as Children's Social Care, Education and many more.</p> <p>In this role, you would be responsible for initial assessments and delivery of time limited, short term interventions to address emotional and mental health needs of young people in crisis, with the aim of reducing longer term mental health problems.</p> <p>Check us out on YouTube: BSW RECRUITMENT - YouTube</p>

  <p>You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team offering generic and specialist assessments and treatment as well as providing complex case consultations. As well as individual child psychotherapy, we also offer parent child relationship focused interventions, parent infant psychotherapy and STPP.</p>
<p>Psychotherapy is valued within Oxford Health and in Banes, Swindon and Wiltshire we have 9 child psychotherapists and 5 trainees across the 5 CAMHS teams and we meet annually with our counterparts in Oxford and Buckinghamshire, so you would be joining a strong network of child psychotherapists who meet regularly to think about our work.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday however there is an expectation that there is flexibility to cover the out of hours shifts when required.</p>

Mental Health Liaison Senior Support Worker - Swindon

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>We're looking to recruit a Senior Peer Support Worker to join our team to support other Peer Support Workers, team members and service users.</strong></p>
<p><em><strong>This vacancy is open to existing Oxford Health Peer Support Workers and people with experience of working in a peer support role in another organisation.</strong></em></p>
<p>Peer Support Workers (PSW's) are people who have their own lived experience of mental health challenges. They use empathy informed by their own experiences to support service users who are accessing mental health services and their families.</p>
<p>This vacancy is for a position within our new South Oxfordshire Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). You will be based at the Wantage Keystone hub and covering the Didcot area.</p>
<p>PCMHTs are comprised of professionals from health and social care including mental health professionals from the NHS, the third-sector and people who have experienced mental health challenges themselves.</p>
<p>Each PCMHT has one or more Keystone Hubs - developed to provide more specialist care at local level via their GP surgery, and improved communication between GPs and mental health services and form a core of the strengthening of community mental health services in Oxfordshire.</p>
<p>Oxford Health offer the Peer Support Training programme as a nationally recognised accredited Level 3 Apprenticeship (fully funded by Oxford Health) this is completed over a period of 15-19 months depending on whether a Peer Support Worker works part time or full time (22.5-37.5 hours).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Senior Peer Support Worker will be responsible for supporting the current PSWs to successfully embed the role within the clinical area, to support with their caseloads and to offer mentoring around using their lived experience to support others. This is in addition to, providing support with individual service users and leading or co-leading groups.</p>
<p><strong>Lived experience: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drawing on lived experience of mental health to provide emotional and practical support to an allocated group of service users to promote their recovery.</li>
<li>Experience in delivering peer support and have a clear understanding of the peer support model within the NHS</li>
<li>To support service users to engage effectively with care being offered and access appropriate services</li>
<li>To build relationships that are founded on the value of mutuality which will facilitate the provision of regular and practical support, both one to one and via group facilitation, to service users in developing and managing independence and maintaining dignity and self-respect.</li>
<li>To build rapport with service users, whilst maintaining professional boundaries, drawing on both experience and knowledge of the service user perspective and an evidence-based approach.</li>
<li>Ability to mentor less experienced peer staff, be a positive role model, sharing knowledge and co-reflecting in peer supervision</li>
</ul>
