  <p>We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our dynamic and forward thinking team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. 
You will be expected to work full-time, working 38.5 hours a week, working days and nights on a rota basis. (shift times 7:30am to 8:00pm; 7:30pm to 8:00am).
The post offers successful candidates a unique opportunity to develop their skills across specialities, such as DBT, and knowledge from other specialist pathways all under one roof.
Hooper Ward is our 13 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
New Dawn Ward is our 18 bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act.
Upping Ward is our 15 bed intensive Support Service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service pathway provides a robust programme of care for women with challenging high risk behaviour who experience difficulties with engagement with therapeutic programmes. We aim to meet the needs of these women, who may have had previous inappropriate placements, in a less restrictive setting.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a is a gender specific hospital for women with complex mental health needs.
Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including PICU, acute admissions and personality disorder services.
We accept emergency and planned, pre-assessed admissions. Our aim is to support individual service user recovery and integration back into the community, as quickly as possible. We have a multi-disciplinary team of specialists and offer a very broad range of therapies.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
   <p>You'll provide a specialist and caring CBT service to our clients who are primarily suffering mild to moderate mental health problems, including anxiety and depression. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Transition Senior Support Worker will play a key role within the multidisciplinary team of the AMHS service, focusing on delivering expert occupational therapy support to individuals following discharge from acute mental health care. This position is dedicated to patients with frequent admissions, aiming to reduce the risk of future readmissions through comprehensive, person-centred occupational therapy interventions.</p> <p>In this role, you will ensure a seamless transition into the community by providing integrated, person-centred care that upholds continuity of support. Working under the guidance of the Clinical Lead and Transition team, you will develop and implement tailored occupational therapy assessments, treatment plans, and interventions. Your approach will be solution-focused, addressing the specific needs and preferences of each individual.</p> <p>You will collaborate closely with AMHS and partner agencies to deliver a holistic and coordinated care pathway. Your responsibilities will include helping service users access relevant local resources and opportunities that support their well-being and recovery. By fostering a supportive environment, you will enable individuals to engage in meaningful activities that promote choice, empowerment, and self-determination.</p> <p>This role is essential in reducing readmissions and offers the opportunity to enhance your skills across healthcare, social care, and community engagement.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>All interactions with service users should be underpinned with empathy and a clear understanding of the effects of disability in the areas of productivity, leisure and activities of daily living (ADL).</p> <p>All interactions should be sensitive and responsive to the service users' ethnic, cultural and social background, using a range of communication and engagement skills as appropriate to the context.</p> <p>To ensure that immediate concerns regarding service users are verbally reported to the relevant professionals and documented in medical/ MDT files.</p> <p>Provides information, advice and guidance to service users, carers, families and other health and care professionals, and engages in personalised discussions, communicates complex or challenging information, undertakes social prescribing where required, and refers to services. </p> <p>Can share and advocate for their service function and role to others.</p>
