  <p>The post is 0.5wte Senior Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist for Longview Ward which is the female acute ward at Hopewood Park. The post will be part of the wider MDT working with service users on Longview Ward.</p>
<p>We are delighted to be offering a Band 8a Clinical Psychology post within our Adult Inpatients Service based at Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland and are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to provide specialist psychological input on our wards. Previous experience of working in an inpatient setting either pre/during or post clinical psychology training is desirable but not essential.</p>
<p>There are three acute adult inpatient wards at Hopewood Park, two male and one female, Each has the provision of a 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours) Psychologist, supported by a 0.5 WTE Higher Assistant Psychologist. There is an 8c Consultant Psychologist post across all the 3 acute wards.</p>
<p>Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services provide multi-disciplinary care using a biopsychosocial model for service users over the age of 18. The acute service provides care for service users with acute mental health needs who require assessment and treatment in hospital. Service users admitted to hospital are often highly complex and have a range of experiences and difficulties including neurodiversity, psychosis, personality difficulties and learning difficulties, risk to self and others, forensic issues and behaviours that challenge.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post involves providing expertise in applying specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive assessments, collaborative formulation and interventions with service users and working with multi-disciplinary teams to embed formulation and trauma informed care. This includes individual and group based work and involvement of families and carers. It will involve supporting multidisciplinary staff working with service users through supervision, team formulation, contributing to understanding complex risk, developing behaviour support plans and providing reflective practice sessions and training to the teams. The role may also involve research, service evaluation and audit. You will be supported to develop your skills in these areas and in addition all of the wards have Higher Assistant Psychologist time and this provides opportunities for the development of skills in supervision.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sunderland Counselling Service for an energetic individual with 2 years post qualifying experience of working as a counsellor / therapist with children and young people from 5-18 years old. This post will be part time for 4 days a week</p><p>Sunderland Counselling Service Head Office is based in John Street in the city centre and we expect the successful post holder will work from a community base(s) across the Sunderland area.</p><p>The post holder who will hold a counselling qualification to Degree, MSc, MA, or Diploma level and will be working in a Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) locality base within Sunderland as part of a team of counsellors. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Radiotherapy departments at NCCC provide a highly specialist clinical technical service in the treatment of cancer patients, receiving approximately 7800 new patient referrals per year.</p> <p>Radiotherapy involves the use of ionising radiation in targeting tumours; the radiation is delivered to the patient using highly complex equipment including CT, MRI and Linear Accelerators. The radiotherapy departments in both Newcastle and Carlisle benefit from state-of-the-art equipment which includes 8 linear accelerators, 2 CT scanners, an MRI scanner and an SXT unit in Newcastle and 2 linear accelerators, a CT scanner and dedicated slots on a diagnostic MRI in Carlisle.</p> <p>The Radiographers who operate the treatment machines and imaging equipment are educated to degree level and have a thorough understanding of the principles of oncology, radiation physics, radiation safety, radiobiology and care of the cancer patient. Patients may attend the department for a single episode of treatment or for a course of treatment lasting up to 6 weeks. Typically, between 35 - 50 patients receive radiotherapy per day on a treatment machine. The team of Radiographers take responsibility for management of the patient workload and assessing the patient's condition on a daily basis. The service has responsibility to train BSc radiotherapy students in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Liverpool across both BSc and MSc programmes and including apprenticeships.</p>

  <p>The Radiographers work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, along with Consultant Clinical Oncologists, Specialist Registrars, Physicist, Medical Technologist &amp; Specialist Nurses in achieving a high standard of care for the patient.</p> <p>The post holder will provide technical expertise and radiographer leadership for the radiotherapy service within their specialist area.</p> <p>Applications are invited from well-motivated and enthusiastic, experienced Radiographers.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Senior Psychological Therapist</strong> to work within the Acute Inpatient Psychological Services team at St George's Park hospital, Morpeth.</p> <p>The Acute Inpatient Service at St George's Park consists of two male wards and one female ward of 19 beds each.</p> <p>Within inpatient services, we hold the value of being creative and very much welcome new and improved processes and ideas. The service has a strong commitment to CPD and professional development, and we want to nurture each clinician in their career longer term.</p> <p>You will be joining the Psychological Services Inpatient team who work across Acute, Rehabilitation and Older Adult inpatient wards. Our team is made up of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Art Psychotherapists and Assistant Psychologists. We also have a therapy dog in the service. We are a friendly, inclusive and diverse group of practitioners who bring a range of interests, experience and skills to the work we do. The Psychology team is well embedded into the respective wards within each pathway but are also located together in terms of office space at St George's Park which means that we maintain strong working relationships with each other across pathways as well.</p>  <p>We welcome informal conversations about the post.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will have the opportunity to:</p>  <p> Provide specialist psychological assessments (including neuropsychological assessment) and interventions with service users experiencing a broad range of mental health problems.</p> <p> Facilitate team supervision/ reflective practice and debriefs.</p> <p> Utilise research skills to design and conduct evaluations of the service. It is anticipated that these will lead to peer-reviewed publications.</p> <p> Design and deliver training to ward-based staff and MDT colleagues specifically relevant to their needs.</p> <p> Provide supervision to and support to MDT staff and a Higher Assistant Psychologist.</p>
