The ATS is a friendly, well regarded multidisciplinary team that delivers specialist support and clinical interventions to adults with severe and complex mental health difficulties. This post provides an exciting opportunity for someone with sound clinical experience, looking to develop and broaden their specialist therapy skills and progress their multidisciplinary team working, supervision, training and leadership roles. The post will offer the opportunity for developing skills in partnership working as we move towards developing our Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams and increase access to psychologically informed interventions as part of community transformation and PT-SMHP developments.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will provide a high quality, specialist applied psychology service to clients, their families or carers, where there are complex and comorbid presentations. They will have assessment, intervention and formulation skills in a range of psychological models, including CBT and attachment-based models. The post holder will be expected to take a clinical leadership roleand to have supervisory experience. They will be responsible for the supervision of Assistant Psychologists, Clinical Trainees and Psychology Graduate Volunteers and will support psychological practice within the wider team through consultation, supervision, formulation and training. They will utilise research skills for audit and research within the area and contribute to service improvement and development.</p> <p>There will be opportunities to lead on pathway developments as part of the transformation developing the psychological offer and supporting the MDT in psychological thinking. As such we would welcome applicants from anyone with specific interest in psychosis, trauma, emotional intensity or particular therapy approach such as CBT, Family work, CAT or EMDR.</p>

  <p>Psychological professionals are valued members of the ATS and are encouraged to play a key role in multidisciplinary team working. You would be joining a supportive and cohesive network of Psychologist professionals, clinical trainees and psychology volunteers. You will work closely with psychological professions staff colleagues and the Psychology leads. You will receive high standards of supervision and will be supported by the Principal Clinical Psychologist. We have a valued programme of CPD, peer supervision and reflective practice for Psychology staff.</p> <p>Applications are welcome from enthusiastic and experienced Psychological professionals with specialist knowledge and skills of working with severe and enduring mental health difficulties such as complex trauma, psychosis and personality difficulties. Equally important is experience in MDT teamworking, teaching and supervision. Peer Support Specialist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The post-holder will be a qualified fully registered HCPC Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a passion for working in this area. As part of the QNIC recommended structure for inpatient CYP units, we are recruiting for these psychology posts into our Kent &amp; Medway Adolescent Hospital MDT. The post holder will work very closely with Children and Young People's Mental Health Services across inpatient and community in Kent NELFT, the Kent and Sussex provider collaborative and other stakeholders. The Kent NELFT DBT Service offers specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred. The postholder will take a lead in liaison with all CYPMHS services to ensure clear transitions for young people entering and leaving inpatient services; linking with the DBT Service and where appropriate supporting the transition to Adult Services. The post holder will be part of the delivery of a highly specialist therapeutic service to CYP in the unit. They will be part of the inpatient clinical team and take on a leadership role whilst being accountable to the Head of Service and Assistant Director for inpatient/home treatment and crisis services.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To be responsible for dietetic management of a range of patients (using specialist knowledge and skills), including: general medical inpatients, surgical inpatients, rehab inpatients, general outpatients, community based nutrition support patients living in their own homes and residential homes.</p> <p>To undertake regular outpatient phone clinics and a face to face general outpatient clinic.</p> <p>To undertake patient group education sessions in specialist areas including Cardiac rehab and Coeliac disease.</p> <p>To provide relevant training to Nursing staff, Catering staff, patients and their carers and third sector organisations. </p> <p>To develop and audit resources to support and identify educational development within East Sussex Healthcare, acting as a resource for specialist information. </p> <p>To support training and supervision of student dietitians during their clinical placements.</p> <p>To work as an integral member of the dietetic team supporting other team members as required. </p> <p>To undertake regular audit of services provided.</p> <p>Please refer to the job description attached.</p>
