<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The North East Thames Regional Genetics Service (NETRGS) is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Clinical Genetics Team as a 12 month fixed term, full time Band 7 Genetic Counsellor.</p>
<p>We are keen to help staff develop clinical areas of special interest, as well as build up research and educational activities, subject to the requirements of the service.</p>
<p>Applicants should have previous experience of managing an autonomous clinical caseload and should be registered with the AHCS, HCPC or recognised overseas body.</p>
<p>Our service is paperless using the EPIC patient management system which has allowed us to adopt a hybrid model of working.</p>

  <p>You will provide high quality genetic counselling to patients and families within the NETRGS region. You will be expected to act as an autonomous practitioner undertaking counsellor led genetic clinics. You will also be expected to act as a role model and expert practitioner. In addition it will be expected that you provide education and training to genetic and non genetic health care professionals and other groups as well as promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of the Genetics Service through research and evidence based practice.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary primary care team.
The successful candidate will provide short-term counselling interventions to patients aged 16 and over who are experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.The post holder will work under the supervision of the Counselling Service Lead and the Primary Care Network Manager. They should be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and take responsibility for their own tasks and record-keeping, ensuring these are completed to a high standard.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>For a counsellor working in a primary care setting, the role involves delivering structured, evidence-based psychological support to individuals experiencing a range of emotional and mental health difficulties.
Key responsibilities include direct client work, collaborative practice, service development, supervision, and upholding ethical standards.</p><p>The post holder is expected to manage tasks delegated by members of the management teamsuch as the Business Manager, Practice Manager, or GPs. They may also provide supervision and training to other team members when appropriate. The role involves working collaboratively with the wider general practice team to meet the needs of the service, while supporting the implementation of policies and procedures.</p>

  <p>Our Primary Care Network (PCN) is made up of three General Practices in Grimsby: Woodfield Medical Centre, Littlefield Surgery, and Pelham Medical Group. Together, we care for over 37,000 registered patients.</p><p>The PCN was established to provide more localised support, expand access to services, and enhance the overall patient experience by meeting a broader range of needs and supporting practice capacity. We have a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who work under the mentorship and supervision of our General Practitioners, delivering care both within the practices and out in the community. This team includes Health and Wellbeing Coaches, a Dietitian, a Social Prescriber, and a Paramedic. These roles work collaboratively with one another and closely with our in-house counselling team to provide holistic, person-centred care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join the Mental Health Rehabilitation Service as we launch Community Rehabilitation in North Kent. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit 'Registered' qualified Counsellors to join our Urban team based in Dorset. The urban team covers Poole, Bournemouth &amp; Christchurch.</p> <p>We have permanent positions available in Poole (full time 5 days per week 37.5 hrs) and Bournemouth West( 3 days per week 22.5 hours). Interviews will be face to face at Gravel Hill, Canford Magna, Wimborne, Dorset.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications to join a highly motivated, professional and committed team. All successful candidates for the permanent posts will be expected to train in one of the following NICE Approved Counselling modalities in line with service need, and following a successful 6 month probationary period; Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD) or Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD).</p> <p>The requirements for a Band 5 position will be a minimum of a recognised Diploma in Counselling, be 'Registered' with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and be working towards Accreditation.</p> <p>Band 6 requirements will be British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) Accreditation status.</p> <p>Band 7 requirements are 'Accreditation' with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and a qualification in one of the counselling NICE Approved modalities (CTfD, DIT, IPT, PCE-CfD).</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will be expected to provide Counselling via digital and telephone platforms plus face-to-face appointments including on occasion home visits and working with interpreters. We provide short term time limited treatment. You will be required to facilitate groups online or in person and have excellent administration, IT and communication skills. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, be expected to work flexibly including one evening per week (1200-2000 shift) to meet with service demand.</p> <p>Previous experience of working in an NHS mental health setting, NHS Talking Therapies previously IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) service or similar organisation would be highly desirable.
