This is an exciting opportunity to join a Low-Intensity Team across Dorset.</p> <p>Dorset Steps 2 Wellbeing is a dynamic, and progressive service with a friendly and supportive team. You will work within NHS Talking Therapies, providing psychological interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems, such as anxiety disorders and depression.</p> <p>As a psychological wellbeing practitioner, you will provide treatment to help support people by:</p> <p>Conducting patient interviews</p> <p>Carry out safety assessments,</p> <p>Provide phone, online, and face-to-face Guided Self Help sessions</p> <p>Liaise with other agencies, and signpost patients to services, such as housing and employment.</p> <p><strong>You must have either a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity CBT with IAPT PWP status or an MSci Applied Psychology (Clinical) qualification to apply for this post.</strong></p> <p><strong>This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will work within the NHS Talking therapy service providing high-volume, low-intensity interventions which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions service to patients with mild to moderate anxietyand depression.</p> <ul>  <li>Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.</li>  <li>Assess and supports people with a common mental health problem in the self management of their recovery.</li>  <li>Provide a range of information and support for evidence based high volume low - intensity psychological treatments. This will included Guided Self Help, Computerised CBT, information about pharmacological treatments and Courses. This work maybe face to face, telephone or via other media.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.   <p>Dorset HealthCare are seeking to recruit an<strong>Applied Psychologist (Clinical /Counselling Psychologist)</strong>to join the<strong>Glendinning Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit/Community Rehabilitation Team</strong>based in<strong>Dorchester, West Dorset.</strong></p> <p>Both teams have experience of working closely with psychology and value <strong>theApplied Psychologist's</strong>contribution through individual assessment/formulation and wider consultation to the team. You would be directly line managed by a clinical psychologist in a well-established team.</p> <p>The <strong>Applied Psychologist</strong>post is a part-time, permanent position working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. These hours can be met over a four-day period, or we can be flexible to meet your needs.   <p>We offer excellent development opportunities, including further psychotherapy training, mentoring, support and clinical supervision. Those who are already matched in skill would move automatically to Band 8 and we will provide additional support to enable career progression and professional development.</p> <p>The post holder will be required to manage their time effectively to enable them to provide psychological services across the 2 teams. This would include provision of specialist psychological assessments and interventions for clients. An important part of the role would include psychological consultation and case formulation to the wider team including training, clinical supervision and guidance around case management.</p> <p>If you are a newly qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist we can support, you through preceptorship process to Band 8A. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Are you a highly specialist practitioner psychologist looking to work within the acute hospital setting with the liaison psychiatry team? Liaison psychiatry is looking for a part time highly specialist practitioner psychologist based primarily at Royal Bournemouth Hospital with cross cover at Poole Hospital as and when required.</p>
<p>As the highly specialist practitioner psychologist you will manage and develop the specialist psychology service for older people in Dorset. Providing expertise and specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals, contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. You will be responsible for the day-to-day line management and clinical supervision of psychologists and assistant psychologists working in the Liaison psychiatry service.</p>
<p>You will formulate plans for the formal psychological assessment and management of client's mental health and implement a range of interventions. You will make evaluations and decisions about treatment options and exercise full responsibility and autonomy for the treatment and discharge of clients. We offer professional development opportunities including training and research support and supervision within the wider Trust psychology services and network.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We offer a generous relocation package of up to £10,000 if you are interested in moving to Dorset. In addition, we are committed to enabling flexible working and would welcome a discussion as to how this could be achieved for you.</p>
<p>A major requirement of the role is to act as a highly specialist resource to the wider professional community and to carry out audit, policy and service development and research activities and/or programmes as may be required by the Crisis and Acute Community Services Manager.</p>
<p>Undertake research and development activities including teaching, clinical and professional supervision and support of other psychologists, assistants, and trainee clinical psychologists, exercising responsibility for psychological practice within Dorset ensuring systems are in place and working effectively.</p>
<p>To provide advice and consultancy to patients and professionals within Dorset for which the post holder has designated professional responsibility, including clear systems for effective recruitment, professional appraisal, and the identification of CPD needs across Dorset in line with the overall strategy for the service.</p>
<p>The post requires frequent driving throughout Dorset in the process of service delivery.</p>
<p>Minimum of at least 5 years work experience following a Clinical Psychology Doctorate qualification or equivalent.</p>
