  <p>We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your commitment to providing high quality care and counselling for depression at Step 3. You will be delivering counselling for depression using a stepped care model in line with the national IAPT programme and latest NICE guidance for psychological interventions. The role involves delivering one to one Counselling, Assessments and therapeutic groups.</p>
<p>You must demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development and be prepared to attend training in the Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD) IAPT training at Metanoia with a desirable commitment to Mind Matters of 1.5 years post training completion/award of qualification (not just attending the course).</p>
<p>Developmental Plan:</p>

  <p>To provide a comprehensive assessment and therapeutic service for adult patients with common mental health problems referred to the IAPT SABP service based on sound, evidence based psychological principles, and working within the context of primary care services.</p>
<p>You will be able to assess clients for suitability for Counselling and other modalities, and provide specialist psychological treatment based upon clearly accepted, evidence-based principles (N.I.C.E. guidelines for Depression). To treat common mental health problems, including mood and adjustment disorders and other problems not of a severity requiring multidisciplinary specialist mental health services.</p>
<p>Be able to make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary. To make an assessment of risk for patient and others and take appropriate action when necessary.</p>

  <p>We have an opportunity for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to lead the psychology provision across the three teams of the Perinatal Mental Health Service.</p>
<p>We offer a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR, Systemic Couples therapy, IPT, CFT, and ACT, and this role would be suitable for applicants interested in transgenerational patterns of trauma, attachment and parent and infant mental health. Our MDT consists of highly skilled, and psychologically minded professionals including Psychiatrists, perinatal mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, peer support workers and nursery nurses. We are accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, highlighting the excellent and specialised care provided by the service.</p>
<p>Our service aims to provide specialist and early help to parents and babies to help with a range of perinatal mental health issues. We are also involved in shaping trauma informed care in the perinatal period and thinking across wider services.</p>

  <p>Due to a review of the staffing establishment an exciting opportunity has arisen for additional Band 4 Nursery Nurses to join the team at the East London Mother &amp; Baby Unit.</p>
<p>Applicants for this position will need to be a nursery nurse with the appropriate training, experience of working with babies and who are able to demonstrate interest in Perinatal Mental Health.</p>
<p>Working in a Mother &amp; Baby Unit is a unique role for nursery nurses to work within an inpatient mental health ward, supporting babies and their mothers who are experiencing mental health difficulties.</p>
<p>The East London Mother and Baby unit is a 12 bedded unit based within the City &amp; Hackney Centre for Mental Health.</p>
<p>This family-centred specialist Mother and Baby Unit cares for people who experience severe mental health difficulties during the later stages of pregnancy and following the birth. The mothers are either experiencing mental health problems ante-natally or up to one year post-natally and require direct support in ensuring care of the infant is upheld whilst supporting the mother through their own recovery.</p>
<p>The ward team consists of registered mental health nurses, nursery nurses, social therapists and a life skills recovery worker. This work is further enhanced in therapy by a psychologist, occupational therapist, parent-infant psychotherapist, art therapist and dance movement therapist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of caring effectively for infants under 1 year and to use this knowledge to teach and guide colleagues and mums.</p> <p>Assess and implementcare for infants and ensuring needs are met and that mum is supported to provide safe and effective care to baby.</p> <p>To contribute to the development of standards of care for both mothers and babies on the unit, proving feedback as necessary and taking positive steps towards implementing necessary change</p> <p>To support wider family network as necessary around knowledge and care of babies.</p> <p>Any successful applicant will also be expected to support the City and Hackney Centre for Mental Health in providing care and treatment and upholding the safety of both patients and staff within the unit.</p> <p>You will be expected to work Long days, nights and weekends.
