  <p>The Perfusion Department at Castle Hill Hospital is pleased to announce an opening for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Perfusion Scientist who is keen to participate in all aspects of service delivery. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and expertise in the field. While our preference is to appoint at Band 8a, we are open to Band 7 applicants with a view to develop into an 8a.</p>  <p>Castle Hill Hospital, part of the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH), boasts comprehensive cardiothoracic facilities. Approx 700 cardiac and 700 diagnostic and major thoracic procedures are performed annually, encompassing elective, trauma, and emergency cases.   <p>As a Clinical Perfusion Scientist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the safe and effective management of patients' physiological functions. You will be expected to deliver within the framework of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.</p>  <p>The candidate will provide Clinical Perfusion and specialist services as part of a team and must be fully registered with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists GB&amp;I.</p>  <p>Perform a range of highly specialist Perfusion science activities relating to cardiopulmonary bypass with special reference to clinical, technical and scientific aspects.</p> <p>Perform a wide range of complex blood coagulation assays and draw upon expert knowledge to interpret and report results to a wide scope of staff including Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Nursing staff, Physiology Technicians and ODPS.</p> <p>Capable of maintaining intense concentration for extended periods during routine and specialist perfusion techniques, especially while monitoring complex data during cardiopulmonary bypass.</p> <p>Actively adapts to the dynamic clinical environment, including unpredictable workloads, emergency procedures, deadlines, and critical situations.</p> <p>The successful candidate will fully participate in the department's on-call rota, ensuring the smooth operation of a 24-hour service.</p>

  <p><strong>Band 3 Clinical imaging support worker working across The Humber and North Yorkshire Healthcare Partnership (HNY) to provide a </strong><strong>NHS MOBILE CT SERVICE to support Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC)</strong></p>
<p>This is a newly developed service and we are looking for pioneering and innovative CT CISWs who are keen to experience a new way of delivering a varied workload.</p>

<p>The CISW will support the radiographers in delivering this service. The will prepare the patients for the scan including cannulation. The will generally assist the radiographers with scanning and admin tasks.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have an exciting opportunity for CISWs to assist with the running a state of the art CT scanner installed on a expandable trailer to support the CDC service across the Humber and North Yorkshire Healthcare Partnership region. We currently have two mobile CT scanners</p>
<p>This service will rotate around the region providing a Mobile service to supplement the CT services in York &amp; Scarborough Trust, North Lincolnshire and Goole Trust and Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust delivering CT capacity at non-acute sites. Exact locations currently include East Riding Community Hospital, Hull CDC Hub, Askham Bar York and Selby Hospital, but other sites are possible across the region.</p>
<p>You will be expected to travel to several locations across the region on a rotational basis. Preferably working 3 long days (subject to site and demand) you will be supported with travel expenses and accommodation when necessary.</p>
<p>You will be an NHS employee, your host Trust will be HUTH however you will be employed to provide a service to the HNY.</p>
<p>In the future your role may include responsibilities at any sites across the HNY and there may be a potential for out of hours responsibilities.</p>
<p>Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.</p>
