  <p>Do you have personal experience of supporting your partner through the perinatal period?</p> <p>Are you passionate about peer support and family wellbeing?</p> <p>Do you have excellent communication and listening skills?</p> <p>We are excited to offer a brand new opportunity for a Partner Peer Support Worker to join the Perinatal Mental Health Team. This post is key in our ambition to offer family focused care for women accessing the service.</p> <p>Drawing on your own lived experience of supporting a loved one through the perinatal period, you will carry out wellbeing checks with Dads &amp; Partners, helping signpost and ensure Dads &amp; Partners feel heard and valued during this key period.</p> <p>You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure Dads &amp; Partners are included in the care pathway, and their vital role is recognised.</p> <p><strong><em>This post is based in the South of the county, covering Cambridge, Ely and the surrounding areas.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.</strong></p> <p><em>*DVLA have a number ofreciprocalarrangements with overseas countries, for further information please visit the DVLA website</em></p> <ul>  <li>Conduct one to one wellbeing conversations with partners of women accessing the Perinatal Service.</li>  <li>Develop and maintain excellent links with local organisations offering support and advice to partners.</li>  <li>Support partners to self-identify their needs and help signpost to community organisations and other services.</li>  <li>Be a valued and contributing member of the wider multi-disciplinary team.</li>  <li>Advocate for the role of partners in the Perinatal period, recognising the vital role they play in family mental health and recovery.</li> </ul>
