<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work across North Somerset CAMHS and the North Somerset Service for Children in Care and Care Leavers in this innovative post.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will work within the Children in Care service alongside social workers, foster carers, and other health professionals. This role involves addressing the mental health and emotional well-being of children in care through consultation, training, and direct work across four days. The remaining day will be based within the Community CAMHS Team, holding a small caseload and supporting the team to deliver effective interventions for children in care.</p>
<p>This is an exciting time to join the service, as the local authority is investing in developing innovative care options for children, and the successful candidate will be part of this development.</p>
<p>Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Taunton. The M5 motorway is easily accessible.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role involves delivering clinical expertise within specialist community services, aligned to a defined local care pathway serving a specific population--children who are looked after or under Special Guardianship Orders (SGO), referred by North Somerset CYPS.</p>
<p>The role also includes delivering training programmes to foster carers, social workers, and CAMHS clinicians to enhance their understanding of the impact of trauma on children in care. In addition to core clinical psychology skills, the successful candidate will have experience working with children in care and possess strong knowledge and skills in trauma-informed practices.</p>
<p>Whilst working closely with the local authority, clinical supervision and CPD will be provided through AWP CAMHS, which has a strong clinical psychology team and well-developed links with the University of Bath.</p>
<p>This post offers a high degree of autonomy, working across both health and social care sectors. The role is based at Weston Town Hall and North Somerset CAMHS @ Rowan/The Barn in Clevedon.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Clinical Psychologist (Grade 8a) to join our friendly Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North East Wiltshire, and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS),for a period of six months.</p> <p>This locum role is primarily based in Chippenham and Devizes, while providing clinical services to the older adult population throughout Wiltshire.</p> <p>Working as part of both the Wiltshire PTS and CMHT offers psychologists the opportunity to treat a range of disorders and presenting difficulties.   <p>We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Practitioner - Eating Disorders, to join the North Somerset CAMHS Eating Disorder Team.</p> <p>The team is a rated by its staff as very supportive and offers good development opportunities and has strong historic links to Exeter University.</p> <p>You will be working in North Somerset, with Bases at The Barn Clevedon and in Weston Super Mare. If so, then join us in this rewarding new role in prevention and early intervention mental health care.</p> <p>The Mental Health in Schools Support Teams (MHST) is an initiative funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. MHST's have been set up to offer cognitive behaviour (CBT) interventions to children, young people and their families with low-moderate mental health difficulties. The interventions are (mostly) delivered in a range of education settings for children aged 5 - 18 years old, with the aim of improving access to mental health care for all young people who may need it.</p> <p>AWP are working in partnership with Off the Record (OTR) to co-deliver this model in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area with the workforce being employed equally across both organisations. This will broaden our scope to offer some high intensity CBT in our region and provide high quality CYPIAPT supervision of supervision.</p>

  <p>Family Safeguarding is part of Open Mental Health, which is a ground-breaking model bringing together NHS, Statutory and Voluntary agencies to deliver targeted and holistic mental health support.   <p>The Family Safeguarding Team is an innovative partnership model between Somerset County Council and a network of voluntary sector organisations.  The wider Family Safeguarding Team is comprised of substance misuse, domestic abuse, adult mental health workers and childrens social workers. Workers from specialist organisations join together to form one team working with families. The Family Safeguarding Team focuses on working to develop parents strengths to positively change their behaviour and relationships in order to improve their childrens lives.
