  <p><strong>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join Youth Partnership Service (formally known as Luton Youth Offending Service). This is a multi-agency provision South Bedfordshire. We are looking for a creative, flexible and committed clinician who has an interest in multi-agency working within the Youth Justice System to join the service.</strong></p> <p><strong>The post holder will hold a caseload of young people referred through the Youth Offending Service (YOS), and will work within the principles of the agreed model of care for the service as laid down in the CAMHS/LYOS operational policy. </strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>The post holder will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner within an integrated team. This will involve the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and effective liaison with all agencies involved with the service user. </strong></p> <p><strong>This is a community based post, embedded within the Luton Youth Offending Service (LYOS). Predominantly this service will be delivered within the YOS and will include the provision of specialist advice/consultation and CAMHS mental health assessment. The post is closely linked to Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. The post will also include liaison with other agencies and secure estates, specialized clinical interventions and to support, clinical supervision and teaching of multi-agency staff and students.</strong></p>

  <p>This post provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the integrated schools pathway in Luton, forming innovative and forward-looking services that are developing substantially across Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. In Luton this includes an established CAMH School Liaison Team, our Wave 2, 5 and 9 Mental Health Support Teams (MHST), and our upcoming Wave 14 Team in January 2026. Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health. Bedfordshire &amp; Luton CAMHS have been successful in benefitting from significant investment in this area. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be the Integrated Lead for the schools pathway teams across the Luton locality as we move towards an integrated schools offer in the coming year, and they will work with team operational leads and with the overall strategic Clinical Lead for CAMH Access Services to offer a comprehensive first step in mental health support, accessible and acceptable for all communities living in Luton, following the Thrive model. The post holder will lead the development of a wide range of targeted interventions, projects and system change with the aim of delivering whole school and community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. We aim to develop an integrated neighbourhood-based core offer to all schools across the locality, and an enhanced offer where there is greater need (such as in communities with greater health inequalities) over the next two years. </p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will provide guidance on evidence-based therapies that can help address the demand on service, and in particular the growing complex challenges that young people and their families face, and how we as a service can most effectively respond. They will lead on service audits, quality improvement projects and clinical outcomes, ensuring that the findings of the audits inform service development. The successful candidate will also have responsibilities that include direct clinical work and case management of complex and high-risk cases, line management and clinical supervision.</p>  <p>The post holder will work with the Clinical Team Lead to ensure operational services are effective and will provide frontline leadership to the staff within the Multidisciplinary Team. The successful post-holder will directly contribute to service development and to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of care and practice and to empower the team to take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the specialist CAMH service. The post holder will be a highly visible presence in clinical practice and be accessible to clients and their families. </p>

<p>Marlborough House is a 28-bed, medium-secure forensic mental health inpatient unit that provides care for men in conditions of medium security. The unit consists of two wards: a 20-bed acute ward and an 8-bed rehabilitation ward. It is part of the Thames Valley Forensic Mental Health Service and is located on the Milton Keynes University Hospital Site.</p>
<p>Recovery is a key element of our approach to treatment at Marlborough house, assisting patients in their journey to change attitudes, values, feelings, goals, and skills. The Recovery Approach is about finding and maintaining hope, re-establishing a positive identity, building a meaningful life, and taking responsibility and control.</p>
<p>You'll work under the supervision of our OTs to carry out routine occupational therapy interventions and basic assessments with clients, provide administrative support to the team and facilitate therapeutic groups.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>Carry out routine occupational therapy intervention and basic assessments with clients as directed by OTs.</li>
<li>Evaluate OT interventions delegated by the OT</li>
<li>Provide administrative support to the occupational therapy team with the development of occupational therapy resources, and preparation of materials for intervention.</li>
<li>Support the occupational therapy team with the facilitation of therapeutic groups.</li>
<li>To be an active member of the Marlborough House team, recording and updating clinical records and sharing information with the multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Use practical and technical skills with patients to assist them in meeting individual need-based goals, as directed by the OT case managing the patient and their wider clinical team.</li>
<li>Plan and co-ordinate a program of therapeutic activities with the wider OT team and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.</li>
<li>Assist in identifying patient's strengths and needs in order to plan and implement suitable therapy interventions for groups and individual patients</li>
