This includes providing guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, in line with the current Step 2 guidelines.</p><p>Typically for a trainee, the role will see you in base 4 days per week and attending University 1 day per week, although this ratio can vary throughout the academic year and dependent on the University attended. 100% Attendance at the university is mandatory and there is a high volume of academic work within the training year.&nbsp;</p><p>Upon completion of the University course and the Rethink Mental Illness Probationary Period, you will automatically move to a permanent qualified position on AfC Band 5 with associated terms and conditions. <p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>We’re seeking a qualified and accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our integrated primary care mental health team at HMP Full Sutton. Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist

  <p>This is an exciting time to join us in making a real change for children and young people across our area, as we are looking for a <strong>Children and Young People's Well-Being Practitioner</strong> to work in our team of experienced clinical psychologists, specialist epilepsy nurses and consultant paediatricians based at York Hospital. </p> <p>We are delighted to be chosen as a national pilot site for integrating mental health support into children and young people's epilepsy care. This project, which began in March 2023, is focused on the implementation of mental health screening and intervention for children and young people in our region.</p> <p><strong>If you wish to apply for this vacancy as a secondment opportunity, please seek permission from your current line manager first</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Your role will be to deliver an innovative, manualised CBT-based intervention, to children and young people who have been screened by their team and shown to require psychological support. This intervention, MICE (Mental Health Intervention for Children with Epilepsy), is designed to improve the treatment of mental health problems in young people with epilepsy and has been shown to be effective in a large-scale research project. </p> <p>It can be delivered by telephone, video conferencing or face to face, and training will be provided. You will be using evidence-based interventions with supervision from the senior clinical psychologist. This will include a range of therapeutic self-management interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate psychological problems, as well as the administration and teaching of psycho-educational classes to groups of parents and children and young people.</p> <p><strong>Team &amp; Support</strong></p> <ul>  <li><strong>York Hospital Paediatric Psychology Service</strong>, part of a larger<strong>Department of Psychological Medicine</strong>.</li>  <li>Supervision and collaboration with experienced psychologists including:   <ul>    <li><strong>Dr Emma Peakman</strong>- Consultant Clinical Psychologist</li>    <li><strong>Dr Anya Knight</strong> - Senior Clinical Psychologist</li>   </ul> </li> </ul> <p>You will be joining a dedicated paediatric psychology team and have opportunities to continue to learn and develop. </p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Are you a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner? Do you have a real passion for education, social, emotional and the mental wellbeing needs of our young people? Do you want to make a real difference?</p>
<p>We are excited to recruit the right qualified EMHPs. We have posts available in both Hull and East Riding Mental Health Support Teams.</p>
<p>The teams work directly into schools and colleges with children and young people between the ages of 5 to 18.</p>
<p>The teams support schools and the wider system and have a particular focus on whole school approach, advice, support, guidance and consultation.</p>
<p>The teams also deliver targeted low intensity CBT informed based 1:1 and group sessions, parent led workshops and creative based interventions to support mild to moderate social, emotional and mental health needs.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate with appropriate supervision, will work as an autonomous and responsible practitioner as their training affords and within the scope of their local job description, to engage in.</p>
<ul>
<li>Delivering evidence-based intervention for children and young people in education setting with mild to moderate mental health problems</li>
<li>Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services</li>
<li>Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing</li>
<li>Working with and within education environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services, and use the acquired skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver a service based within education settings that builds on and reinforces but does not replace those initiatives that already exist within these environments.</li>
<li>Mentor trainees and offer Peer to peer support to other qualified EMHP's</li>
<li>You will be required to travel across the locality independently as part of your role.</li>
