  <p></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Psychologist, to lead the Long-Term Conditions part of Paediatric Psychological Support Service based at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital.</p> <p>The post-holder will be part of a small team of psychologists working with children diagnosed with a range of long-term medical conditions (e.g. inflammatory bowel diseases, juvenile arthritis, epilepsy) living in Brighton and Hove. This role includes close collaboration with another 8a psychologist who leads on working with children with long-term conditions living outside of Brighton and Hove.</p> <p></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>The Long-Term Conditions Service offer short-term therapy, as well as consultation and training to support the needs of children diagnosed with long-term medical conditions. as a service, we draw on a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, systemic, mindfulness, ACT and EMDR. The focus of this role would be to oversee the incoming referrals to the service and responses to these, including holding a clinical caseload and supervising the clinical work of a band 7 psychologist (and at times a trainee clinical psychologist). This role would suit a flexible and dynamic practitioner who is able to develop treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of children, young people and their families, which might include individual, parent-child, parent or group work, as well as close liaison with medical teams and other agencies. There is room for innovation within the service, with previous practitioners offering Tree of Life groups, Woodland Wellbeing days and sea swimming groups to support young people to have a different experience of themselves and build their confidence. Opportunities to develop appropriate staff training and group work is also supported where this meets a clinical need. The post-holder would be encouraged to supervise or co-supervise a trainee clinical psychologist.</p>

The dietetic team are a well-respected and integral member of the renal team and in this post you will be working closely with nephrologists, transplant nurses and the renal transplant pharmacist.</p><p>We are looking for a dynamic and motivated experienced renal dietitian to help develop and lead this new service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. You will be part of a large friendly and supportive renal dietetic team.</p>

  <p></p><p>This role covers teams based in Gloucester, Cheltenham and across the county. All reasonable flexible working requests will be considered, but the post holder will be expected to work across sites in line with service need.</p> <p>Our specialist mental health services work with adults with severe mental health problems. About 60% of the people we work with have experienced psychosis, and we aim to provide psychologically and trauma informed care and evidence based interventions including CBT-P and Family Therapy.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <p>Work as part of MDT's providing specialist psychological formulation, assessment and direct care.</p> <p>Provide supervision, reflective practice and consultation/advice to colleagues and teams,</p> <p>Contribute to quality improvement and service development, including research and development activities such as teaching.</p> <p>Leading workstreams on psychological approaches to care, and specifically working as a part of our developing psychosis pathways</p> <p>Line manage, supervise and support other psychological professionals, assistants and trainees.</p> <p><strong>The qualification, training &amp; experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.</strong></p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join 14 Arches, Staff Psychology &amp; Counselling; a psychology-led service offering psychological support to NHS staff working in Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. The service is based in Northampton but provides support across sites where NHFT staff are based.</p>
<p>You would be joining an innovative and enthusiastic team of two principal psychologists and two experienced counsellors, supported by a clinical administrator. Psychologists within the service offer one-to-one consultations to colleagues, in which we explore an area of concern and help make sense of what is going on; we also offer support to teams and team leaders, consulting when there are difficulties and providing input to teams through structured activities and reflective practice.</p>
<p>We are looking for an innovative and dedicated clinician with a strong commitment to improving psychological wellbeing for NHS staff and an interest in using their skills in a range of individual and group interventions with staff. Strengths will be psychological formulation which draws on a range of models, and the ability to communicate and share psychological thinking with colleagues. Also important will be the ability in the postholder to work at a systemic level, develop practice and take forward a project within the service.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>You would be expected to work alongside the established psychologists and counsellors within the service, delivering support to colleagues who refer in, supporting service evaluation and development and contributing to supervision, governance and service development. This would include:</p> <ul>  <li>Providing psychological consultations to individual staff who refer into the service around a concern which is impacting them at work</li>  <li>Offering consultancy to managers around team issues</li>  <li>Designing and delivering interventions with staff teams</li>  <li>Developing and delivering psychologically informed groups</li>  <li>Helping to deliver our pathway for staff experiencing distressing and potentially traumatic incidents at work, including preventative work, post-event support to teams and trauma therapy to individuals</li>  <li>Utilising research skills for audit, service evaluation/development and research within the service.</li>  <li>Providing supervision to other psychological professionals within the service e.g. trainee psychologists, counsellors</li>  <li>Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies &amp; procedures</li> </ul>
