Our client is looking for the ideal candidate to start as soon as possible for a minimum of 3 months. The shift pattern is flexible from 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week for the right candidate. Band 8a Psychologist - CAMHS

The Occupational Psychologist will play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding a senior leadership competency framework within the London Fire Brigade. This role is central to the development of leadership programmes that are aligned with organisational goals and cultural transformation, particularly in moving away from hierarchical leadership styles toward more psychologically safe and inclusive environments.Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Develop and implement a senior leadership competency framework, building on the existing organisational framework. </li><li>Design and support leadership development programmes (e.g. residentials, secondments, classroom-based sessions). </li><li>Provide psychometric feedback to senior leaders in a constructive and engaging manner. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams, including the Leadership and Management Academy and Talent Team, to ensure alignment and integration. </li><li>Engage with senior leaders to influence and embed leadership behaviours. </li><li>Promote psychological safety and inclusive leadership practices across the organisation. </li><li>Work in a hybrid model, attending in-person meetings and site visits across London as required</li></ul>Top 3 Essential Skills/Experience 1. Experience with Leadership Development &amp; Competency Frameworks <ul><li>Ideally has worked on or contributed to the development of senior leadership frameworks. </li><li>Strong understanding of leadership theory and practice. </li></ul>2. Confidence in Engaging Senior Stakeholders <ul><li>Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leaders. </li><li>Comfortable delivering psychometric feedback and facilitating leadership conversations. </li></ul>3. Public Sector or Emergency Services Insight <ul><li>Understanding of hierarchical cultures and the challenges of cultural change. </li><li>Experience working in or with public sector organisations, ideally emergency services. </li></ul>Desirable Attributes <ul><li>Ability to communicate complex psychological concepts in plain English. </li><li>Awareness of neurodiversity and inclusive practices. </li><li>Strategic thinker with a global leadership perspective. </li><li>Collaborative and self-directed, with the ability to lead on key initiatives</li></ul>Hybrid working Working Pattern: Hybrid - expected to be on-site 40% of the time (HQ or stations). Hours: Flexible (e.g. 8am-4pm or compressed hours); core hours are 9am-5pm.
