Balance direct work with children alongside consultation, assessment, training and strategic advice for staff. Support all areas of SEND in line with the Code of Practice, using a solution focused, preventative model with assessment via observation, consultation, pupil views, and direct work. Inform interventions including classroom strategies, curriculum adaptations, therapeutic support, and referrals to external agencies such as CAMHS. Plan and deliver SEND specific CPD and training, working alongside Executive Leaders to support whole school and Trust wide priorities. Contribute to the development of Education, Health and Care Plans and strategic SEND initiatives. Evaluate and celebrate the positive impact of your work through teacher feedback, EHCP outcomes, case studies, learning walks, and school self evaluations. In the longer term, there may be opportunities to extend elements of the service to partner schools and external settings, broadening its impact and reach.
