  <p>We are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as our YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner.</p><p>The Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-disciplinary team which works with children and young people aged 10 -17 years old who have offended and are made subject to a range of community and custodial disposals.</p><p>The YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner will support children and young people by providing time-limited interventions, who are known to the YJS and are experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties, as part of an overall plan to reduce their risk of re-offending, harm to others and vulnerability.</p><p>This may include signposting or liaison with other service providers, and establishing exit strategies (via onward referral) to ensure ongoing support is available where it is deemed necessary. You will be supported by being co-managed by both CAMHS and the YJS manager, receive regular supervision and access to a wide range of professionals including mental health nurses, social workers, OT, associate practitioners, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, family therapist, CBT therapists, Creative Arts Therapists and consultant psychiatrists.</p><p>We pride ourselves in delivering high quality and innovative psychological solutions, working collaboratively with children, young people and their families to deliver dynamic and evidence-based therapies.</p>

  <p>Completion of initial assessments and screenings in relation to emotional and mental health to establish what level of support and or intervention is required.</p><p>Delivery of time-limited interventions to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties</p><p>Referral on to universal, early help or targeted services (or liaising with other health professionals) for onward assessment or support.</p><p>Undertakes a lead role within the YJS in respect of mental health and wellbeing, including provision of advice, guidance and specialist knowledge to staff in support of overall YJS practice and/or development of services.</p><p>Provide screening, care, and health promotion to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.</p><p>Design and deliver preventative and targeted work to children, young people and their families to address safeguarding and risk management concerns (including 1:1 and group work).</p><p>Maintain strong links between YJS and other relevant service providers (for example, but not limited to CCAMHS, FCAMHS, EIP, GP and Social Care) for effective liaison, signposting and onward referral as appropriate</p><p>Contribute to YJS performance against agreed targets and indicators through effective data inputting, service delivery and team-working.</p>

The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday however there is an expectation that there is flexibility to cover the out of hours shifts when required.</p> <p>The post holder will need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers. The area is quite rural with limited public transport, so access to transport is essential.</p>

  <ul>  <li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>  <li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>  <li>You will have experience of providing community mental health care and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.</li>  <li>There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions.   <p>An exciting fixed term position has arisen within our Stafford &amp; Cannock Mental Health Support Teams. We are looking for an experienced &amp; enthusiastic Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.</p> <p>Youwill continue to build on the fantastic work carried out within your allocated schools. The role is varied &amp; no two days are the same, you may be setting up and delivering group work &amp; assemblies one day to delivering assessment &amp; interventions the next, as well assupportingschools to develop their whole school approaches to mental health &amp; wellbeing.</p> <p>You will be skilled &amp; experienced in conducting mental health assessments of children and young people (CYP) presenting with common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and low mood. You will conduct risk assessments &amp; identify the right level of support for CYP you come into contact with.</p> <p>Alongside the clinical aspect of your role, you will play an integral part in supporting schools with their whole school approaches. There is scope for creativity and opportunities to work alongside CYP &amp; parents/carers to drive the whole school approach agenda.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to be involved in an established team within the wider CAMHS structure, as a joint initiative between health &amp; education. You will work across the Staffordshire locality as well as supporting other MHSTs across South Staffordshire. You will work deliver parent, staff well-being, 1:1 &amp; group work sessions.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>Assess and deliver outcome focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting in which the post-holder is deployed.</li>  <li>Work in effective, evidence-based partnership with children, young people, their families and their educators in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.</li>  <li>Support and empower children, young people, their parents/carers and families and their educators to make informed choices about the interventions being offered.</li>  <li>Operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity</li>  <li>Accept referrals within educational settings according to agreed local and national and local protocols</li>  <li>Undertake and record accurate assessments of risk and operate clear risk management processes in line with locally agreed procedures including the safeguarding protocols of the educational setting and Local Safeguarding Board guidance</li>  <li>Adhere to all regulations, processes and procedures within the educational service to which the post holder is attached within the educational setting where the post-holder working including (but not limited to) HR policies, training requirements, referral protocols, and emergency procedures. <p>Hillingdon Mental Health Support Team is looking for a <strong>Qualified</strong> <strong>EMHP or Generic Mental Health Practitioner</strong> who has experience of working with Children and Young People in Mental Health Services in the provision of individual and group treatments. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and vibrant individual who is passionate about improving health outcomes for children and young people.</p>
<p>Mental health professionals with post graduate training in a recognised therapy modality and experience of working with CYP may also apply. We are open to applications from newly qualified occupational therapists, mental health nurses, social workers or other relevant therapy post graduate qualifications.</p>
<p>You will work alongside other EMHPs, Mental Health Practitioners and a Senior Practitioner to support the wellbeing and mental health needs of schools and colleges in the borough of Hillingdon.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This is a role within the Green Paper for Transforming children and young people's mental health programme. The post holder will work within a service providing low intensity interventions. The post-holder will provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioural difficulties and their parent(s)/carer(s).</p> <p>The post holder will work with children, young people and parents with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p> <ul>  <li>Undertaking assessments and delivering evidence-based, low-intensity, brief intervention for children and young people,with mild to moderate mental health problems, in an <strong>education setting.</strong></li>  <li>Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist service.</li>  <li>Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify, and where appropriate, manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.</li>  <li>Working with and within educational environments to afford better access to CYP mental health services.</li>  <li>Training and consultation to schools and other agencies about mental health in children and young people.</li>  <li>Support schools in developing their Whole School Approach to mental health.</li> </ul>
