  <p>Priory Hospital, Southampton are looking for an enthusiastic clinical or counselling psychologist to join the psychology team in delivering individual therapy, group therapies and assessments as part of delivering excellent standards of care for NHS service users requiring inpatient hospital admission.</p><p>This role could cater for someone seeking flexible working alongside another job role or other commitments as we are looking to recruit a psychologist for 15 hours per week in a part-time permanent role.</p><p>The individual therapy delivered at our hospital is exclusively with the service users on our specialist eating disorder ward, Skylark, therefore we are seeking a psychologist with an interest or previous experience in working with those suffering with an eating disorder.</p>  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will be welcomed into a passionate and positive team of professionals, headed by a Counselling Psychologist within the psychology team, and made up of a Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Creative Arts Therapist, and an Assistant Psychologist. This team isoverseen within the wider therapy services umbrella headed by therapy manager and Occupational Therapist, Sarah Marsh.</p><p>There will be opportunities for continuing professional development and your passion, style and ambitions would be taken into account as you grow within the role. Particular professional development would see the candidate gaining distinct experience in working with acute distress and eating disorders, allowing for the possibility of specialism.</p>

  <p>HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including body imaging, CT colonography and Cardiac CT. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies.</p> <p>Therefore, with the expansion of Radiology services over the next few years and enhanced scope of practice available, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your portfolio.</p> <p>We welcome applications from experienced CT radiographers with effective leadership skills who have a proactive approach to providing outstanding care for every patient.   <p>The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full-time position.</p><p>The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic. They will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p><p>This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people, by offering fast access to evidence-based interventions supported by NICE guidelines.</p><p>The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Talking Therapies model of delivery.</p><p>Please note before submitting an application this is not a remote working position as the successful candidate will be required to offer patient face to face appointments in clinic settings on the Isle of Wight and be available across the working week for other in-person focused activities relating to the role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.</p><p>The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions via differing modalities, such as; a group setting, face to face, video chat and telephone.</p><p>Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.</p><p>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, where the client has given permission.</p><p>Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.</p><p>Manage and convey information which may be of a sensitive and/or distressing nature.</p><p>Analyse and interpret patient outcome measures such as PHQ9 and GAD7 and to then administer the appropriate evidence-based intervention, monitored through caseload management.</p><p>Assess clinical risk and refer to specialist mental health services as indicated autonomously if assessed as urgent, or in collaboration with the caseload manager if the risk is assessed as low but the client's needs are beyond that of brief psychological interventions.</p><p>Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.</p>
