<p>Are you an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist looking for either a&nbsp;full time or part time opportunity&nbsp;where you will be part of a supportive and experienced team providing Tier 4 inpatient services to young people with eating disorders?&nbsp;</p>
<p>Join Brighton and Hove Clinic, which is a&nbsp;a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 up to 18 years, and you will be providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.</p>
<p>You will be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice with experience of CAMHS Eating Disorders and leading multidisciplinary teams.</p>

You will work alongside other CBT therapists and psychological therapists. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a wider strategy to increase access to evidence-based interventions to children and young people exhibiting mental health difficulties in Brighton &amp; Hove.</p> <p>The post holder will hold a specific role in relation to the CBT pathway and will work alongside the two established Counselling Leads who have responsibility for counselling pathways. The post holder will also offer clinical supervision and line management to Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.</p> <p>Brighton &amp; Hove Wellbeing service is delivered by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with YMCA DownsLink Group and Southdown. The CYP service works closely with Brighton CAMHS. We offer a variety of support and psychological therapies to children and young people within Brighton and Hove.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Children &amp; Young People's team delivers a multi-modality therapeutic service working with 2 to 24-year olds experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. We work closely with CAMHs, the local authority and a range of voluntary and community sector organisations to deliver effective short-term therapeutic interventions.</p> <p>TThe post-holder will join a team of CBT therapists and will provide CBT to children and young people with a range of anxiety and low mood related difficulties. CBT will be delivered via online and face-to-face appointments. Some flexibility to work from home and from service bases is required. You will have responsibility for triaging referrals, assessing mental health difficulties and delivering CBT to indicated, evidence based national guidelines.</p> <p>The post-holder will liaise with children and young people, their parents, families, carers and/or additional supporting professionals to ensure effective and practical support. You will need to work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p>

<p>We see a wide range of patients of all ages and perform a variety of clinical studies, including cardiac, paediatric and PET-CT, using state-of-art equipment. Some working at our satellite department in Haywards Heath is required.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will undertake clinical work in a highly specialised area which requires consideration of the risks associated with working with ionising radiation and infection control. The person needs to possess the empathy and skills to help patients through difficult and complex procedures. </p>  <p>Assess patient referrals, manage care, safely prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and scan patients. </p>  <p>The post holder will be required to perform image processing and produce results to the highest technical standards. </p>  <p>To support the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist, PET-CT Superintendent, and Lead Superintendent and to work collaboratively with other clinical colleagues to provide an efficient and effective service. </p>  <p>To work within regulatory frameworks and follow all Local Rules and Standard Operating Procedures designed to ensure a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and associated regulations.</p>  <p>To work in all Nuclear Medicine departments and weekend and evening duties as required.</p>

You'll work alongside psychology colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to providing exceptional care to those experiencing a mental health crisis.</p>  <p>You will work with people with a wide range of mental health problems, their families and carers. Many people come to urgent care with their first experience of mental health difficulties as a result of bereavement, addiction, physical illness, domestic violence, onset of dementia, debt or workplace bullying; so we wouldwelcome applicants with a range of experience, who may not have worked in an acute or urgent care environment before. <p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

<p>*<strong>Counting your hours</strong></p>
<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>
