Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Genomic Associate will be based in the Clinical Genetics Service at Northwick Park Hospital and will work alongside clinical geneticists, genetic counsellors, laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to provide enhanced contact with patients at the point of referral, and after genetic testing and counselling, to facilitate the collection of information and obtain consent, where needed. The genomic Associate will also help to facilitate access to the service, particularly amongst marginalised communities and families who are difficult to engage. The post holder will be responsible for requesting test reports, relevant tissue/samples and testing by liaising with laboratories, families, and clinical teams, as well as the tracking of such requests They will keep clinicians and patients updated on progress, highlighting any long waiters.</p> <p>Under supervision, you will support the team with keeping spreadsheets, databases and portals updated for gene carriers, as well as undertaking regular audit to ensure patients are accepted onto screening programs. They will be responsible for arranging breast screening for those at high risk and keeping spreadsheets/records updated.</p> <p>the post holder will support the team with cancer triage by obtaining family history information, entering of data for online cancer risk assessments and generating a risk calculation using that program (e.g. CanRisk) for interpretation and use by genetic counsellors and clinical geneticists.</p>

  <p><strong>Band 7 Counselling/Clinical Psychologist/ Psychotherapist/ Systemic and Family Therapist: Eating Disorder Therapist</strong> </p><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Eating Disorder Therapist to join our team. The post holder will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of eating disorder presentations as well as co-morbid mental health conditions to allow for the provision of a holistic care package to the young person. The ideal candidate communicates well, enjoys working with individuals, families and groups and will bring enthusiasm and commitment to the role.</p> <p>They will complete specialist eating disorder assessments and deliver evidence based and NICE concordant interventions for eating disorders to children and young people and their families within our early intervention and specialist therapy pathways. These interventions may be delivered in clinic, community and home settings; to individuals or groups work, holistically with the multi-disciplinary team to support young people and their families with eating disorders and contribute to increasing awareness of the presentation and prevalence of eating disorders.   <p>To complete specialist eating disorder assessments within the Community Eating Disorder Service for Children &amp; Young People (CEDS-CYP).</p>
<p>To act as the duty clinician on the rota of duty clinicians managing referrals and providing a rapid response to urgent clinical situations. </p>
<p>To be involved in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and young people with eating disorders in the community, to liaise closely with other health care professionals to ensure a consistent approach.</p>
<p>To provide specialist therapeutic interventions as part of individualised treatment plans based on psychotherapeutic principles which are grounded in evidence based practice and NICE - concordant interventions for eating disorders.</p>
<p>To develop and deliver our early intervention support pathway, including consultation, psychoeducation, self-help materials working closely with our assistant psychologist.</p>
<p>Care coordinate a substantial caseload of assessment, treatment and consultation work, identifying priorities of action in complex circumstances.</p>
<p>To utilise specialist skills in managing and communicating with patients, their families, carers and other agencies in situations that are sensitive, highly complex and may be emotionally distressing.</p>

  <p>The role aims to improve the experience for our children and young
people (CYP) presenting with mental health problems who would otherwise have
seen a GP. In this role you will work as part of the South West London and St
Georges Mental Health NHS Trust and primary care team in Central Sutton PCN in

  <p>We are seeking Two full-time, Band 8a Senior Clinicians, in the capacity of a Counselling or clinical psychologist,</p> <p>This is to be a part of a dynamic and supportive team across Redbridge CAMHS . We have a well established, secure and psychologically safe team, who are passionate providing high quality and effective care to our children and young people.The role required at least two years' experience in delivering specialist mental health therapeutic interventions in a CAMHS (or similar child and adolescent mental health) setting.</p> <p>The service operates a 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday service.We provide access (through the SPA), assessment and evidence based treatment, to a growing population of 0-18-year-olds, across the London Borough of Redbridge We work as a fully integrated MDT working alongside and in collaboration other agencies such as the Primary care Nurses, MHSTs, Education, social care, to name a few.</p> <p>The care we deliver is in line with the i-Thrive framework, where we provide the Getting More help, and System Support and Risk management aspects. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This post involves assessing and treating children and young people who present with moderate to severe mental health difficulties in a community CAMHS setting. The successful candidate will work with a MDT to formulate holistic care plans.</p>
<p>The post holder will receive regular clinical supervision as well as to provide clinical supervision to other team members.</p>
<p>They will be expected to attend, participate and support the MDT meetings as well as network partnership meetings.</p>
<p>They will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social care professionals and partnership agencies as we promote a trauma informed and systemic model of practice.</p>
<p>They will be expected to support the team to manage the caseloads, by providing oversight, clinical support and expert guidance to ensure safe and effective care, supporting the team in maintaining their key performance indicators.</p>
