<h2>Job overview</h2>BASIS International &amp; Bilingual Schools Chengdu is seeking qualified candidates for a College Admissions Counselor for the 2026-27 school year! As a College Counselor at BASIS International &amp; Bilingual Schools Chengdu, you will be responsible for teaching a daily college counseling workshop to 12th graders, completing college counseling reports, and serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator. You will also organize college admissions visits each fall, conduct family college counseling evenings, meet one-on-one with 10th and 11th graders during the academic year, and instruct students on completing college admissions applications and financial aid applications and obtaining recommendations. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing new program ideas, co-leading college information evening sessions, and developing and maintaining college planning and career assessment and readiness software such as Naviance. Sessional Counsellor

We re currently recruiting full time or part time School Counsellor/Art/Play Therapists to work directly with children and young people in our schools Mental Health Teams. For this post you need to have a mental health qualification and at least two years experience of working with young people. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health. Responsibilities include offering a flexible range of short-term and longer-term mental health interventions to primary and secondary aged children and young people including individual and group-based support; workshops; crisis support; mental health themed activities. The posts have scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people s mental health across South London. All posts are based on-site (office/school) and may require flexibility to work across different service areas and interventions.
