<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the Therapies Team at our new Adult Acute Inpatient Wards, Silverwood.</p>
<p>The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. Expect your day to fly by!</p>
<p><strong>Autonomy:</strong> Acute Inpatient Psychologists can personalise and tailor the role of Psychology for their wards.</p>
<p><strong>Leadership:</strong> You will be able to develop the role of Psychology and influence the direction of the wider team in an environment designed for recovery and safety. Psychology's expertise are really valued for differential formulations, reducing restrictive practices, and delivering trauma-informed and Psychologically-informed care.</p>

  <p>We are looking to recruit a Senior Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT) to lead our CAT pathway. This post plays a pivotal role in delivering specialist psychological care to adults with complex mental health needs. The post is an established position in Lewisham Integrated Therapies (LIT) and CAT has a long and valued history in the borough as well as in the Trust.</p>

  <p>An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward-looking Band 6 occupational therapist to join our Adult Eating Disorders Inpatient ward working alongside and occupational therapy apprentice. You will have experience in mental health and occupational therapy and whilst desirable, eating disorder experience is not necessary as full support will be given to develop expertise in this area. This is a great opportunity for as existing Band 6 looking to widen their skills or a Band 5 OT looking to progress their career.</p> <p>You will be part of a wider occupational therapy team within the eating disorder service and provide specialist assessments and plan and implement treatment for people with severe eating disorders which will include eating with clients on the unit and the community.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<p>Your role will be delivering evidence-based interventions, one to one and in group settings, to adults (aged 17yrs+) who have a range of Anxiety and Depression related problems.</p>

Trainee (CBT) to join our team as part of the NHS England (NHSE) funded
Children and Young People (CYP) Psychological Training Programmes. </p><p>We are

based interventions for children, young people or families (parents/carers)
using CBT. The post holder will work
with people from various cultural backgrounds, ages and ability, using

  <p>The CYP
Psychological Therapies training programme is a government-funded initiative
aiming to grow the child mental health workforce to meet much needed demand. To
help reach this goal, NHSE covers salary and training costs for a 1-year post,
allowing services to employ trainees to help implement new &amp; expand
existing specialist pathways to bridge the gaps in CYP mental health support. This is a unique opportunity to apply your
learning from weekly teaching into practical clinical interventions, working
with clients in the service making a direct impact in the lives of children,
young people and their families (parents/carers). You will need to balance a
demanding course with self-study and clinical work.</p><p>This full-time training will
begin in January 2026 with around 2.5 days a week for academic work (teaching and
personal study) and 2.5 days based at the service seeing clients related to
training assignments. Trainees will be both an employee of the service and an
enrolled student with Kings College London. Upon completion qualified trainees
will receive a KCL Postgraduate Diploma in Children &amp; Young Peoples Mental
