Support is tailored to the individual and working towards meeting goals on their individual support plan, which outlined which areas of social care needs they require support with.&nbsp;The service generally operates Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm however flexibility in this role will be required to meet the needs of the service users. The service has 4 beds, which can be accessed for a maximum of 7 nights, during which time staff will provide emotional and practical support over a 24 hour period to assist people using the service to resolve their crisis. The service works in partnership with the statutory Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team. We support people who are age 16 years upwards.</p><p><strong>How You Will Make a Difference:</strong> As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will support individuals in regaining confidence and engaging in social and workplace activities.   <p>To provide a high-quality, specialist clinical psychology service to older adults admitted to the inpatient mental health ward. The postholder will deliver psychological assessment, formulation, interventions and group therapy for individuals experiencing complex mental health difficulties, cognitive decline, and/or dementia-related conditions. They will also contribute to staff training, supervision, and service development, supporting the ward in delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Clinical :</p>

<li>Provide specialist psychological assessments using a range of psychometric, neuropsychological, and observational tools.</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and share psychological formulations to inform multidisciplinary care planning.</p>
</li>

<p>Deliver individual and group psychological interventions tailored to the needs of older adults (e.g. CBT, ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, reminiscence approaches).</p>

<p>Offer consultation and advice to colleagues on psychological aspects of care.</p>

<p>Conduct cognitive assessments to assist with diagnosis of dementia and other neurocognitive disorders.</p>

  <p>The Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 functions:</p> <ol>  <li>Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing. This can include, but is not limited to, supporting sites to develop and implement mental health and wellbeing policies, development of resources, supporting campaigns and delivering training, assemblies and PHSE curriculum.</li>  <li>Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff. This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education. We offer a low intensity service model, predominantly using cognitive-behavioural therapy.</li> </ol> <p>Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.</p>

    <h3>Job responsibilities</h3>
    <p>The post holder will provide psychological interventions to the Primary Care Networks Mental Health Services. In particular, those with complex mental health problems, focusing on strength and assets to help people with what matters most to them.</p>
<p>This work will be under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out, provided that the clinical work is within the care plan specified.</p>
<p>The characteristics of the core population receiving direct services are: people with complex psychological and emotional needs who may have experienced adverse life events. Those with serious mental illness, for example complex trauma personality disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia and complex depression and anxiety (the list is not exhaustive). </p>
<p>Psychological based provision is offered to the local/identified population at the individual, group, couple and family level through to teams, systems and community level.</p>
<p>The post holder will work with people who use our services to develop a shared understanding of the complex issues the person is facing, how they cope and the impact this has on their mental, physical health and well-being and those around them (psychological assessment and formulation). Under supervision of qualified clinical psychologists they will explore social, psychological, therapies and other potential options which may improve health outcomes and help them achieve agreed goals.</p>
<p>Service users seen by the post holder will include those who have experienced high levels of distress and complex mental health difficulties. Assessments and interventions will be delivered in a range of settings, including community, VCSE as well as clinics and in person, by telephone or digital platform.</p>
<p>The post holder would be expected to work closely with experts-by-experience, local communities, Community and Voluntary and Social Enterprises, to co-produce and co-develop services. The post holder will primarily be involved in partnership working, liaising with various stakeholders in the system, e.g. GPs, primary and secondary care mental health services, colleges and universities, and the 3rd sector. The post holder will also be involved in raising the awareness of the complexity of the health and social challenges many people face and the impact this has on mental health &amp; well-being and vice versa. A key aim of the service is to help people build resilience and feel more connected to their community, and to instil a sense of belonging.</p>
