Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? Are you interested / experienced in providing treatment for women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders? If so, then join the team at Spring Wood Lodge hospital!</p>
<p>This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>
    <li>Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</li>
    <li>Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients.</li>
    <li>Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.</li>
    <li>Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.</li>
    <li>Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.</li>

This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education. We offer a low intensity service model, predominantly using cognitive-behavioural therapy.</li> </ol> <p>Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.</p>

We offer diagnostic and rehabilitative services to both Adults and Paediatrics including Newborn Hearing Screening. The role will provide support as part of our busy Admin team, provide basic hearing aid support for patients and their families when required and perform an assisting role in the audiological assessment of predominantly pre-school children. An aptitude for working with children is required. Training will be provided within the department for use of our Audiology database, providing the assisting role in assessments and basic hearing aid support.</p>
<p>We are committed to providing peer support and career development. We have close links with Leeds and Aston University regarding student placement and training.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will both support the administrative function of the service including dealing with patients/carers and their families face to face, on the telephone and via email and assist in paediatric hearing assessment appointments with full training. This will included managing the patient booking system, dealing with patient referrals and processing appointments. The post holder will also be providing basic hearing aid support when required. The post holder will work within a range of procedures and pathways in which they have received training in order to become competent.</p>
<p>In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution</p>

Audiology Assistant Technical Officer (Band 2)

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>A rare and exciting opportunity to work in a paid full time training role as a Systemic Family Practitioner (SFP) in Calderdale.</p><p>We are currently recruiting for a new training post to start the Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence Based interventions to commence in January 2026.</p><p>SFP trainees provide low intensity interventions for anxiety, depression and conduct problems including guided self-help.</p><p>The trainee will work with Invictus Wellbeing in Calderdale, with employment as a qualified SFP on successful completion of the 12 month training course (funding allowing)</p><p>The post is part of the Children and Young Peoples Psychological Trainings initiative which is intended to increase and upskill the children &amp; young peoples mental health workforce.</p><p>Applicants should have experience of supporting children and young people with their mental health/wellbeing. They need to be willing to undertake an intensive training course and they must be able to demonstrate the aptitude to study at Level 7.</p><p>The 1 year full time training course is provided by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with the University of Manchester and trainees will study in person for one or two days per week. The rest of the working week will be based in-service using the skills gained during the training.</p><p>Trainee CYWPs are paid on NHS Agenda For Change pay band 5 (or equivalent), and will progress to NHS band 6 (or equivalent) on successful completion of the 12 month training.</p>

  <p>1. To work within the Open Minds Partnership &amp; Invictus Wellbeing to offer timely, accessibleand effective therapeutic interventions to children and young people.</p><p>2. To provide assessment, interventions, therapy to children, young people with the mostsevere, complex and persistent mental health problems, including those who are severelymentally ill or at suicidal risk and where appropriate, families as both an autonomouspractitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a variety of settings to address need.</p><p>3.
