  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Clinical Psychologist (Grade 8a) to join our friendly Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North East Wiltshire, and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS),for a period of six months.</p> <p>This locum role is primarily based in Chippenham and Devizes, while providing clinical services to the older adult population throughout Wiltshire.</p> <p>Working as part of both the Wiltshire PTS and CMHT offers psychologists the opportunity to treat a range of disorders and presenting difficulties. This means you can maintain your skills across a diverse client group or further explore a specialist interest, such as neuropsychology.</p> <p>In Wiltshire, the service is needs-led ('ageless'), offering care for both functional and organic conditions to all adults aged 18 and over.   <p>This post is within the multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS). We are an enthusiastic and innovative team that values the input and contribution of all our staff and strives to offer the best possible services to our clients.</p> <p>We provide a wide range of psychological therapies, including CBT, EMDR, ACT, DBT, CAT, Integrative approaches, Schema-focused therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Solution-focused methods, delivered in both group and individual contexts, primarily on an outpatient basis.</p> <p>The successful applicant will have clearly demonstrable skills and knowledge in working with people from the older adult age range. For this senior role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with different client groups in secondary mental health settings, and of having been responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation, alongside staff training, supervision, consultation, advice and support to the South Bristol Recovery team. You will also provide clinical and/or management supervision to more junior CPI staff, placements to Clinical/Counselling Psychology trainees and engage in service development work as appropriate.</p> <p>To work within the Assessment &amp; Recovery Services, it is essential for you to have experience of delivering therapy to this client group, and to have been trained in NICE guideline interventions (e.g. DBT, CBT, Family Interventions, CAT, MBT etc). You will need excellent interpersonal skills to support the development of psychological thinking and intervention within multidisciplinary teams. Experience of delivering supervision and training would be essential.</p> <p>We would be especially interested in candidates with experience of supervision and management of Complex Trauma within secondary settings.</p> <p>We also plan this post to include the CPI Service User Involvement lead role. <p>The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, patient-centered care on our award winning Acute Frailty unit (AFU) The unit provides specialist holistic assessment, care and treatment for frail patients in line with Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) principles. Working with the Multi Disciplinary team, you will ensure rapid assessment, care and discharge planning to enable short lengths of stay, efficient flow and prevent hospital related deconditioning.</p>
<p>You will also provide senior OT support to our new older person's ward which has been designed to cater for the complex needs of older people in a state of the art, dementia friendly environment.</p>
<p>The team also cover 2 other older person's wards, a Haematology ward and Falls Clinic. All of which will benefit from your skills, experience and senior support.</p>

Senior Occupational Therapist Frailty

The school caters for pupils who have a range of social and emotional difficulties, as well as challenging behaviours and low self-esteem. You will play a significant role to ensure the students make positive choices, helping to guide their behaviour and increase their engagement in and outside the classroom.</p><p>In this Learning Support role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide array of needs, including anxiety, social withdrawal, anger issues, trauma, grief and social difficulties. The school are therefore looking for an empathetic individual who is interested in helping others, is ready for a challenge and has an interest in SEMH difficulties.</p><p>By working both 1:1 and in group settings with these vulnerable students, you will gain the experienced needed to pursue a career in Youth Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Services or Teaching.
