We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Leicestershire Adult Eating Disorder Service.</p><p>The team is well established and have been providing high quality care for the residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for over 30 years.</p><p>The team assess and provide individual care plans for recovery through evidence-based interventions and strong therapeutic relationships to patients with a variety of eating disorders, on one to one basis and in group settings.</p><p>Clinical associate psychologists are a key part of our team and the successful candidate will join our current psychology team Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Associate Psychologist and Psychology Assistants.</p><p>The service team also consists of nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, administrators, dietitians, research and evaluation associates. Teamwork and collaboration is highly valued in the service and encouraged from all.</p><p>Experience of working with people with an eating disorder will be a particular strength for the right candidate. However, we are able to offer opportunities for with those with limited experience in limited experience in a developmental role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will work with people who use our services to develop a shared understanding of their eating disorder, how they cope and the impact this has on their mental, physical health and well-being and those around them (psychological assessment and formulation).</p><p>Under supervision of qualified clinical psychologists they will deliver psychological interventions such as CBT guided self-help, CBT and other appropriate therapy models. The post holder will manage their own caseload.</p><p>A good understanding of some of the physical and psychological risks experienced by our patients will be helpful and you will be supported with this alongside training and development opportunities relevant to your role and equipping you with specialist skills.</p><p>You will also be able to take part in our weekly CPD programme, where we have an extensive range of internal and external speakers.

We have a strong culture of research and a continuous drive for improving quality, and there is plentiful opportunity to contribute to our ongoing programme.</p><p><strong>Please note that a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car during working hours is required for this role.

There are opportunities for indirect working (e.g. consultation, supporting formulation skills development).</p> <p>Our Service has 10 teams with excellent track records working closely together, with opportunities for gaining different experiences to develop your portfolio. Our internal training programme for staff is positively-rated and clinical supervision practice is highly valued. We value the diversity of our clinicians, and the skill sets they bring.</p> <p>Whilst this is an 8a post we are very happy to receive applications from soon to be or newly qualified Clinical Psychologists in a preceptorship role (with a structured development plan to progress with regular support). <p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
    <li>We have places available in our projects in both primary and secondary schools nationwide.</li>

<p>*<strong>Counting your hours</strong></p>
<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. However if you need to gain clinical hours for your course, we would strongly advise that you check with your course tutor as to whether child hours are accepted before applying. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>

Overview <p>Role: Counsellor in Training</p><p>Reporting: Team Leader</p><p>Kooth is a fast growing business with a social purpose. Listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:KOO), our mission is to provide welcoming and effective digital mental health support to the nation. Working in partnership with the NHS, we are already the UK's largest digital mental health platform for young people aged 10-25. We are now rapidly expanding into supporting the NHS adult population, providing corporate solutions to help build mentally healthy businesses, and expanding internationally.
