  <p>An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team on Westgate unit based in HMP Frankland.</p> <p>The Westgate team is part of the Offender Personality Disorder national strategy. The Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway programme is a jointly commissioned initiative that aims to provide a pathway of psychologically informed services for a highly complex and challenging offender group who are likely to have a severe personality disorder and who pose a high risk of harm to others, or a high risk of reoffending in a harmful way.</p> <p>Westgate is situated within HMP Frankland and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear foundation Trust are contracted by Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Trust to provide care and treatment for the residents of Westgate.</p> <p>The successful candidate may have desirable experience of working with a complex service user group and will have demonstrable experience of effective working with wider agencies and effective delivery of identified interventions.</p> <p>The Westgate Multi-Disciplinary Team are diverse and very much integrated within the prison environment.   <p>We are looking for a compassionate psychologist (clinical/ forensic) to join us at Ridgeway in our Secure Inpatient Psychology Service TEWV NHS Trust. It is a Fixed Term 12month post to cover maternity leave. Experience working with a Learning Disability population is preferrable.</p> <p>The post would suit an enthusiastic Psychologist, valuing the opportunity to work collaboratively with members of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, where psychology is a core treatment offer. A key part of this role will be using clinical leadership skills to influence teams to embed formulations, psychological understanding and psychosocial interventions in everyday practice.</p> <p>As a service, we are keen to support and invest in the ongoing development of our Psychologists through CPD opportunities, so an interest in developing clinical skills across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is essential. The Psychologist would have the opportunity to gain experience working with a diverse population that includes male and female mental health, learning disability, autism and older adults, including those who may have experienced trauma and/ or neurological difficulties.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting role with a great deal of patient
contact and opportunities to increase and consolidate both skills and
knowledge. You will work under direct supervision of the senior Occupational
therapists and Physiotherapists. You will have the autonomy to assess specified
patients as well as carry out rehabilitation and help facilitate timely
discharges and maximise patients' independence. You will act as a source to
