  <p>Are you interested in a career in the field of eating disorders dietetics? We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our team of dietitians working within a large specialist mental health and learning disabilities NHS Foundation Trust. This rare and exciting post provides an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Adult Eating Disorders day service This post will involve working with service users who have been referred to intensive day treatment within the community. The post will involve working in a small team of nutritionists, band 6 and 7 dietitians and various MDT members. The post holder will have the opportunity to participate in policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development, staff and student training.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Candidates should be a Registered Dietitian, preferably with some experience/placement exposure of working in a mental health setting, with excellent communication and IT skills. A working knowledge of behaviour change and motivational interviewing would be desirable. Regular clinical supervision with the Specialist Dietitian will be provided and there will be a strong emphasis on Continued Professional Development and post-graduate training.</p>
<p>We can either recruit a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian or a band 5 Graduate Dietitian supporting development to a Band 6 level, dependent on experience. (please refer to both job descriptions attached).</p>

  <p>We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior CWP/EMHP to come and join our mental health support team on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The department is currently equipped with 6 Elekta Agility machines with IGRT/IMRT capability, which provides scope for our expanding technological and professional development including DIBH with SGRT, stereoscopic 2D imaging, stereotactic body radiotherapy, VMAT treatment delivery and flattening filter free technology.</p>
<p>The department is also equipped with a Superficial Unit. Pre-treatment imaging consists of Siemens and Toshiba wide bore CT scanners with associated ProSoma virtual simulation software. We havean active brachytherapy service, treating a variety of sites using our Nucletron remote after-loading brachytherapy unit.</p>
<p>Treatment plans are produced using Monaco and Raystation. Mosaiq is currently used for electronic data transfer throughout the radiotherapy department.</p>
<p>We are a forward thinking department and support radiographers in their clinical development to advanced practitioner level and we have recently appointed our first Consultant Radiographer.</p>
<p>Our radiographers are fully involved in the MDT approach to developments within the department. The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice, and participates in multi-centre clinical research trials, led by our Radiotherapy Research Team. Ongoing professional development is supported and encouraged.</p>

to be part of Sunderlands Mental Health Support Team The Health Heads Team
as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. This is a training post in
conjunction with Northumbria University. 
The trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) will work closely with
schools across Sunderland to support the delivery of the national Mental Health
Support Team (MHST) model. MHSTs are school based mental health service
focusing on early intervention and prevention, offering Low Intensity CBT
interventions for mild to moderate difficulties, supporting the development of the
whole school approach and offering consultation, advice and training. EMHPs
work on a 1:1, with parents/carers and deliver groups in the education setting.
</p><p>To access the
university course potential candidates will need to be educated to degree level
and have experience of working with children and young people ideally in a
school environment. </p><p>Candidates who are successful at shortlisting will be invited to an open
morning prior to interview.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have a fantastic opportunity within our
Sunderland Mental Health Support Team to train as an Education Mental Health
Practitioner. </p><p>The post holder will be expected to commit to
training at Northumbria University whilst working with schools within our
Mental Health Support Team to gain the knowledge and clinical experience in
order to achieve a Post
Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and
Emotional Wellbeing Studies in the Education Environment and qualify as an Education Mental Health Practitioner. 

Our EMHPs work across Sunderland schools to support the implementation of the
National Mental Health Support Team model, supporting children and young people
with their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. </p><p>The post holder will work in our established teams
to fulfil all 3 functions of a Mental Health Support Team including the
delivery of Low
Intensity CBT (LICBT) evidence-based interventions in particular around anxiety
and low mood. They will work collaboratively with schools to deliver Whole
School Approach, build positive mental health culture, awareness and emotional
resilience through workshops, assemblies, and whole school activities, and they
will work with educators to provide regular consultation and timely advice
around children and young peoples mental health.</p><p>If this is

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>

<p>All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.</p>

<p>You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:</p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
    <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>
</ul>

			<p>Place2Be is the leading children's mental health charity providing in-school support and expert professional development to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, families,&nbsp;teachers&nbsp;and school staff. The charity currently provides an embedded mental health service in 500 UK primary and secondary schools supporting a school community of around 243,000 children and young people.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Our teams provide a range of services in our partner schools to build resilience early in life through counselling, creative work and play and support a child’s ability to engage in school life.&nbsp; Our work, focused on early intervention, is part of the comprehensive CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) system.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

Through our professional development programme, we are training around 1,200 Counsellors on Placement each year who build their mental health and counselling skills and experience through practice in our partner schools. We also provide a range of professional development programmes on mental health and wellbeing for school leaders, teachers and other professionals who work with children and young people, so we can help to build ‘mentally healthy’ schools and communities where all children can thrive and flourish.</p>
<p>We continue to pilot,&nbsp;trial&nbsp;and explore new ways in which we can develop our practice as well as share learning, expertise and findings from the robust evidence and evaluation we gather. <strong>HRH The&nbsp;Princess of Wales</strong>&nbsp;is our Royal Patron and Place2Be is one of the founding charity partners of Heads Together.
