<h2><strong>Fully remote, full-time internship for aspiring clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors.</strong></h2><p>Our Clinical Psychology Internship equips aspiring mental health professionals worldwide with essential skills and practical client-facing experience, preparing them for careers in clinical psychology, coaching, psychotherapy, or counselling.</p><p>Interns complete an intensive one-month crash course covering a toolkit of evidence-based techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).   <p>The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting adults and young people and will take a lead role within the service, using the wide range of their clinical psychology skills, including:</p> <p> Specialist clinical assessment &amp; formulation</p> <p> Person-centred interventions (individual / group)</p> <p> Support to staff from other disciplines to undertake psychological interventions</p> <p> Care planning using a Positive Behavioural Support approach</p> <p> Facilitating team reflective practice</p> <p> Supervision and training for members of the psychology team and other professions</p> <p>Psychological input is highly valued by the MDT and there is an emphasis on close working with colleagues from psychiatry, nursing, speech &amp; language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and teaching.</p> <p>The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site, which is awell-established and supportive service. Successful applicants will receive good quality supervision and support to further develop their skills and knowledge. </p> <p>The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses.
