<p>This is an opportunity for a qualified counsellor to join our team. You will be working in a supportive team environment where you can benefit from flexible working whilst supporting adults by providing specialist bereavement counselling from Glangwili General Hospital site.</p>
<p>The Bereavement Support Service is a specialist Counselling Service within Carmarthenshire. The successful applicant will be based in Carmarthen, however will need to be willing to travel to other sites within Carmarthenshire if required, such as our partner site at Ty Bryngwyn. We offer a blended model of engagement, including the use of virtual platforms as well as face to face.</p>
<p>The applicant will require experience working within a team and in providing bereavement counselling.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>You will be working within the Bereavement Support Service providing counselling to service users within Carmarthenshire, however you will need to be willing to work across the county of Carmarthenshire within Hywel Dda University Health Board if required. You will be conducting assessments and providing counselling support<strong> </strong>with a mixed model approach face to face, telephone and online<strong>.</strong> You will be required to work autonomously as part of a team, alongside and in partnership with other Healthcare professionals and Services within clinical settings.</p>
<p>The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.</p>

  <p></p><p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and registered psychological therapist or counsellor to join our dedicated Psychological Therapies Team, working with adult patients across the Trust. The role offers variety and professional development, as you will work across our three hospital sites, gaining exposure to different settings and experiences--while only ever being based at one site at a time.</p>
<p>For the first six months, you will be primarily based at Southend Hospital, providing continuity as you settle into the role. This position is part-time, two days per week, and is ideal for a skilled therapist looking to make a meaningful impact on patient wellbeing within a supportive and collaborative environment.</p>

  <p></p><p>Main duties are:</p> <p></p> <ul>  <li>To work with adult inpatients and outpatients and their families. Inpatients will be from the general hospital, as this role will not be with burns patients.</li>  <li>To provide specialised psychological assessment and therapy based on a holistic formulation and sound evidence base</li>  <li>To participate in MDT discussions and decision making when appropriate.</li>  <li>To offer consultation around patients' psychological care to non-psychological colleagues, and to other non-professional carers</li>  <li>To offer support to hospital staff through signposting and clinical team based supports such as reflective spaces to relevant staff.</li> </ul> <p></p>
