<p>An opportunity has arisen for an accredited counsellor to join the Oncology Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual who would like to work alongside MDT colleagues in supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis and their families and carers.</p>
<p>The team serves a busy acute hospital working within the Arden Cancer Centre and a wider range of nurses, medics and allied professional supporting cancer patients.</p>
<p>There'sopportunity to gain experience in a wide range of cancer conditions and cutting edge treatments, working with inpatients and outpatients. You will be working alongside the service lead and part of a wider psychology team across the trust with excellent support provided for your development. To participate as a member of the Oncology (and where appropriate Haematology) Psychological Service team and to work co-operatively with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve service goals.</p>
<p>To ensure the systematic provision of the psychological service, including the responsibility to prioritise work appropriately.</p>
<p>To use self-report measures, rating scales, direct and semi-structured interviews with patients, family members and others involved in the client's care.</p>
<p>To formulate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors that have shaped the individual or family</p>

The move to a Band 7 post would be upon completion of required competencies as agreed and reviewed with managers.</p><p>Leicester Partnership NHS Trust is now a large provider of Community Health, Mental Health and Learning Disability services, serving a population of approximately 1 million people across Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland.</p><p>We are advertising for a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to join our large team of Psychological Professions, working in a strong multi-disciplinary setting delivering services for young people and their families / carers in Leicestershire.</p><p>We are a large multi-disciplinary service of over 200 professional staff. Our CAMHS service is comprehensive and, in addition to the City and County Outpatient teams, has specialist teams for inpatient adolescent services, learning disabilities, primary mental health services, children and young people with eating disorders, Crisis services, looked after and adopted children, young offenders and homeless children and paediatric psychology.</p><p><strong>For more details, please click 'Apply for this job'.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To work as a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist as part of psychological therapy and psychology services within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and care pathways.</p><p>To provide a comprehensive, highly specialist cognitive behavioural psychotherapy service to young people with complex problems for which CBT is evidenced to be clinically effective.

This includes working with children and adolescents who may present with severe and treatment resistant disorders with co-existing conditions.</p><p>To use a broad theoretical knowledge base to provide specialist cognitive behavioural assessments and formulations that inform highly skilled CBT interventions.</p><p>To work as a highly skilled autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload under clinical and case management supervision. To offer consultation and guidance to other mental health professionals, other treatment pathways and community colleagues.</p><p>To contribute to the ongoing development of CBT practice taking into account advances in treatment, theory and research.</p><p>This post requires in-person attendance at clinics, meetings, assessments and liaison with other professionals, which could include attending MDT meetings, for example Strat meetings, child in need and more.
