<p>An exciting 12-month opportunity has arisen to support a national programme of work to transform pathways for women who use secure services, recognising there are significant differences in the presentation of mental disorder, for women in secure care. You will work closely with varying stakeholders within the region, including the PROSPECT Provider Collaborative.</p>
<p>Post holder will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the direction and supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist. You will maintain high quality ensuring adherence to national guidelines, legislation, organisational protocols and play a key role in Psychology service development through an evidence-based approach.</p>
<p>As a registered psychologist you will participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders as part of the project work. You will review processes, guidelines and standards to help guide service user engagement in their care pathway and will be under the supervision and management of the clinical director. You will support clinical team working, including support for interventions and training programmes. You will be an innovative thinker, developing new initiatives and ways of working, whilst working closely with internal/ external agencies to enhance treatment pathways for service users.</p>

<p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will have:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area. This can include learning difficulty, neurodiversity and complex trauma.</li>

    <li>Acting as psychologist for a ward and/or group of patients as directed by the Joint Heads of Psychology.</li>
    <li>Developing and managing groupwork programmes and innovative therapeutic approaches and ensuring that appropriate outcome measures are in place.</li>
    <li>Taking a key role in Psychology service developments, providing an evidence-based approach to new clinical initiatives.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful as a Senior Psychologist, you'll have:</strong></p>

  <p>An exciting and interesting opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Clinical, Counselling or Health psychologist to join the General Medicine Psychology team within the Clinical Health Psychology Department at Salford Royal Hospital.</p> <p>You will join a very well-established psychology team providing psychological assessment and care to a range of diagnosis. The post holder will be expected to offer expertise at a senior level in this exciting field of Clinical Health Psychology. Team working will be integral to the role, including involvement in MDT meetings and regular liaison, teaching, and joint working with professional colleagues to support the wider medical/nursing team in relation to psychological aspects of care.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Support the Consultant Lead Psychologist to provide senior leadership, supervision and support for the members of the general medicine psychology team.</p>
<p>Triage and assess referrals from the 15 medical specialisms,</p>
<p>Lead on service delivery for complex cases within the general medicine service, in collaboration with the service lead.</p>
<p>Lead on several of the areas of the general medicine service as a special interest, developing links with the specialist nurses, members of the medical team, relevant special interest groups and 3rd sector agencies. To develop teaching for the university ClinPsyD Programmes, Health psychology course and the IAPT training in these specialist areas, as required.</p>
<p>To contribute to clinical pathways and development of business cases to maintain capacity for this rapidly growing service, in consultation with the service lead.</p>
<p>Provide specialist assessment and treatment recommendations for individuals accessing the general medicine health psychology service. S</p>
<p>Manage referrals from multiple sources, maintain outpatient clinical psychology waiting lists, and take autonomous management of their own caseload.</p>

  <p>This is an opportunity to lead psychological care provision in Salford for people identified as being 'at risk' of developing first episode psychosis, and those experiencing first episode psychosis. Salford EDIT and EI teams are multidisciplinary teams with a strong culture of facilitating personal recovery via psychological and psychosocial interventions.</p> <p>The post-holder will lead on the development and delivery of psychological interventions, ensuring high quality evidence-based and trauma-informed practice across the pathway. An exciting 12-month opportunity has arisen to support a national programme of work to transform pathways for women who use secure services, recognising there are significant differences in the presentation of mental disorder, for women in secure care. You will work closely with varying stakeholders within the region, including the PROSPECT Provider Collaborative. Post holder will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the direction and supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist. You will maintain high quality ensuring adherence to national guidelines, legislation, organisational protocols and play a key role in Psychology service development through an evidence-based approach. As a registered psychologist you will participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders as part of the project work. You will review processes, guidelines and standards to help guide service user engagement in their care pathway and will be under the supervision and management of the clinical director. You will support clinical team working, including support for interventions and training programmes. What you will be doing To provide knowledge and experience of supporting the provision of psychology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams To support and advise on psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests To support and advise implementation of formulating plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of service users mental health problems based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the patient's problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings. To support and advise on implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models. To provide guidance in ensuring Psychology practices in the specified area of service maintains the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards at all times. To be successful in this role, you will have: Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist. Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area. This can include learning difficulty, neurodiversity and complex trauma. Experience of providing clinical supervision to Assistant and trainee Psychologists, as directed by the Lead Psychologist Experience in assessing, formulating and working therapeutically with patients in the service area.
