I am working with a global construction and development group with a long-standing presence in the UK, delivering large-scale infrastructure, commercial and building projects in the search for a Wellbeing Manager to join their team in Watford. Purpose of the Role: The Wellbeing Manager is responsible for protecting, promoting and continuously improving employee health and wellbeing across the organisation. Acting as a subject matter expert in occupational health and workplace wellbeing, the role identifies, evaluates and controls health risks while supporting the business to meet legal obligations, industry best practice and internal wellbeing standards across operational sites and offices. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li> Identify, assess and manage workplace health risks, including exposure to noise, dusts, fumes, chemicals, vibration and biological agents. </li> <li> Plan and undertake workplace monitoring, surveys and assessments, interpreting results against relevant legislation, standards and guidance. </li> <li> Provide expert advice on risk reduction and control measures using the hierarchy of control to improve working conditions and employee wellbeing. </li> <li> Support the development, implementation and review of health surveillance and wellbeing programmes where required. </li> <li> Ensure compliance with occupational health and wellbeing legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice. </li> <li> Prepare clear technical reports, risk assessments and exposure summaries for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. </li> <li> Support internal and external audits, inspections and investigations relating to health and wellbeing risks. </li> <li> Maintain accurate health, exposure and wellbeing records in line with legal and organisational requirements. </li> <li> Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, senior management, HR and wellbeing leads on workplace health matters. </li> <li> Contribute to the development of organisational wellbeing strategies, initiatives and continuous improvement programmes. </li> <li> Deliver training, briefings and awareness sessions to improve understanding of health risks, controls and wellbeing practices. </li> <li> Work collaboratively with safety, HR, wellbeing and operational teams to embed proactive health risk management into day-to-day operations. </li> <li> Monitor emerging health risks, industry trends and changes in legislation or guidance. </li> <li> Promote innovation, best practice and continuous improvement in workplace health and wellbeing management. </li> <li> Support incident investigations and root cause analysis where health exposure or wellbeing factors are involved. </li> </ul>

Wellbeing Manager

Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing Manager Support the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for Area East in the management of HSW for activities, including the implementation of the H&amp;S Management System (HSMS) to ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 certification and with Works Information. Regular liaison with other works packages to ensure sharing of best practices, innovation and continuous improvement. The position plays the key role in helping to establish and maintain the highest and where possible, new industry Health and Safety standards for the project. The role may involve the managing of one or more direct reporting staff. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Support and manage the implementation of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy across Area East</li> <li>Understand the Health &amp; Safety Policies and Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented</li> <li>Provide operational and functional management advice on the practical implementation of the company's H&amp;S policies and processes including external stakeholders such as customers if necessary.</li> <li>Assist and provide advice to Contract Management in the understanding of stakeholders (internal and external) aims, priorities and risks with regards to H&amp;S</li> <li>Assist, where needed, with the development of Health and Safety Management plans if applicable and coordination of review</li> <li>Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health</li> <li>Undertake and provide advice in key tasks to assist in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the Health and Safety Management System</li> <li>Undertake and/ or assist Contract Management in establishing, managing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities, HSE and others as required and directed</li> <li>Develop and manage program of, assist with and undertake H&amp;S surveillance where required of operational sites. Participate, as requested in Parent Company H&amp;S audits</li> <li>Provide advice, guidance and independence with regards to the assessment of and appointment of sub-contractors</li> <li>Assist if necessary with the preparation of H&amp;S risk assessments and safe systems of work.</li> <li>Undertake and/ or assist with the monitoring, analysis of and reporting of H&amp;S performance.
