  <p>The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full-time position.</p><p>The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic.   <p>Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.</p><p>The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions via differing modalities, such as; a group setting, face to face, video chat and telephone.</p><p>Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.</p><p>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, where the client has given permission.</p><p>Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.</p><p>Manage and convey information which may be of a sensitive and/or distressing nature.</p><p>Analyse and interpret patient outcome measures such as PHQ9 and GAD7 and to then administer the appropriate evidence-based intervention, monitored through caseload management.</p><p>Assess clinical risk and refer to specialist mental health services as indicated autonomously if assessed as urgent, or in collaboration with the caseload manager if the risk is assessed as low but the client's needs are beyond that of brief psychological interventions.</p><p>Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.</p>

  <p>Priory Hospital, Southampton are looking for an enthusiastic clinical or counselling psychologist to join the psychology team in delivering individual therapy, group therapies and assessments as part of delivering excellent standards of care for NHS service users requiring inpatient hospital admission.</p><p>This role could cater for someone seeking flexible working alongside another job role or other commitments as we are looking to recruit a psychologist for 15 hours per week in a part-time permanent role.</p><p>The individual therapy delivered at our hospital is exclusively with the service users on our specialist eating disorder ward, Skylark, therefore we are seeking a psychologist with an interest or previous experience in working with those suffering with an eating disorder.</p>  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will be welcomed into a passionate and positive team of professionals, headed by a Counselling Psychologist within the psychology team, and made up of a Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Creative Arts Therapist, and an Assistant Psychologist. This team isoverseen within the wider therapy services umbrella headed by therapy manager and Occupational Therapist, Sarah Marsh.</p><p>There will be opportunities for continuing professional development and your passion, style and ambitions would be taken into account as you grow within the role. Particular professional development would see the candidate gaining distinct experience in working with acute distress and eating disorders, allowing for the possibility of specialism.</p>

  <p>The Peritoneal Malignancy Institute is an internationally renowned Tertiary Service for patients with a rare form of cancer. These patients are admitted from around the country and usually stay in hospital for at least two weeks so input is a mix of virtual and in person support. </p> <p>We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to contribute to supporting patients during this highly emotive time. This includes conducting virtual pre-admission assessment and pre-surgery psychological support, in hospital face to face interventions and post discharge support offered virtually.</p> <p>This psychology service is one of a kind in the country and although it has been established for over 8 years it is still growing and we are always looking for new ways to support our patients. We have a well-resourced research team and an interest in research and evaluation will be a real benefit</p> <p>This is a role with structure but also a lot of scope to develop it and make it your own. Do you have a passion for working with older adults?</b></p> <p><b>If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!</b></p> <p>Based at Cromwell House, Winchester, the Older Adults CMHT offers assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support for people with a deterioration in cognition and/or dementia and over 65's who present with functional mental health illnesses. We work closely with carers and other services, such as Adult Health and Social Care and with the voluntary sector.</p> <p>The CMHT is a lively, dynamic, and supportive multi-disciplinary team which provides care coordination and recovery focused care for individuals with complex and challenging mental health needs.</p> <p>You will need excellent assessment and communication skills. In addition, you will carry a caseload and participate in the team's duty system. As a senior clinician, you will need to work alongside other agencies to promote holistic recovery focused care as well as producing reports, supervising staff and running clinics as necessary.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have sound clinical skills, be able to coordinate complex care, have good administration and IT skills, as well as good report writing, organisational skills and working knowledge of CPA processes and safeguarding.</p> <p>Applicants must have a driving licence suitable for use in the United Kingdom and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Our working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00.</p>
