We provide clinical services to the pan Black Country population of adults with learning disabilities, continually evolving in line with the Transforming Care Programme.</p>  <p>As an Applied Psychologist or Psychological Therapist based with the Wolverhampton Community Learning Disability Team you will work alongside an experienced MDT and supportive psychology colleagues to deliver high quality, person centred and evidence based services with the aim of achieving positive life outcomes for individuals.</p>  <p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated clinician who ideally has experience in working with adults with a learning disability. The successful candidate for this varied and dynamic role will be delivering 1:1 assessments and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities. In addition, you will be leading on the development, coordination and delivery of a programme of CBT informed group psychological intervention to Black Country citizen's accessing learning disability services. The role is diverse and rewarding with excellent cross division support.</p>

  <p>The successful candidate will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with learning disabilities. You will hold an individual caseload for delivering 1:1 interventions within the Wolverhampton locality, working systemically in line with families and carers where appropriate. With support from psychology and MDT colleagues you will lead on developing, delivering and evaluating a Division wide group programme to ensure citizens with a learning disability have appropriate access to evidence based psychological therapy. You will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. </p>  <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress. A core member of the Wolves CLDT, you will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with client centred therapeutic interventions. You will work with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and with colleagues from other services, providing expertise in psychological formulation for people with learning disability and mental health needs and their families/ carers.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>Guided by recovery principles, the teams maintain close liaison and pathways with a range of external agencies including social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the region in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>  <p>There are opportunities to develop new and existing group programmes. The post-holder support in training/supervising others, including practitioners &amp; trainees working within the team at different times.</p> <p>Our Division maintains good links with the full range of Doctoral Psychology courses at the Universities of Birmingham, Coventry and Warwick and Wolverhampton.</p> <p>Key staff are closely involved with Research and Innovation.   <p>The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting adults and young people and will take a lead role within the service, using the wide range of their clinical psychology skills, including:</p> <p> Specialist clinical assessment &amp; formulation</p> <p> Person-centred interventions (individual / group)</p> <p> Support to staff from other disciplines to undertake psychological interventions</p> <p> Care planning using a Positive Behavioural Support approach</p> <p> Facilitating team reflective practice</p> <p> Supervision and training for members of the psychology team and other professions</p> <p>Psychological input is highly valued by the MDT and there is an emphasis on close working with colleagues from psychiatry, nursing, speech &amp; language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and teaching.</p> <p>The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site, which is awell-established and supportive service. Successful applicants will receive good quality supervision and support to further develop their skills and knowledge. </p> <p>The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses. Remote ADHD Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to apply and develop your time-limited psychological skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT, CAT and brief psychodynamic therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate/severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff. Psychology is a vital and influential field, represented at every level in our Trust, including the roles of our Chief Therapies Officer, and also our Chief Clinical Information Officer who are both Consultant Clinical Psychologists.</p>
