  <p>The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full-time position.</p><p>The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic. They will work with people with different cultural backgrounds, disabilities and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p><p>This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people, by offering fast access to evidence-based interventions supported by NICE guidelines.</p><p>The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Talking Therapies model of delivery.</p><p>Please note before submitting an application this is not a remote working position as the successful candidate will be required to offer patient face to face appointments in clinic settings on the Isle of Wight and be available across the working week for other in-person focused activities relating to the role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.</p><p>The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions via differing modalities, such as; a group setting, face to face, video chat and telephone.</p><p>Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.</p><p>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, where the client has given permission.</p><p>Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.</p><p>Manage and convey information which may be of a sensitive and/or distressing nature.</p><p>Analyse and interpret patient outcome measures such as PHQ9 and GAD7 and to then administer the appropriate evidence-based intervention, monitored through caseload management.</p><p>Assess clinical risk and refer to specialist mental health services as indicated autonomously if assessed as urgent, or in collaboration with the caseload manager if the risk is assessed as low but the client's needs are beyond that of brief psychological interventions.</p><p>Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.</p>

  <p>The Peritoneal Malignancy Institute is an internationally renowned Tertiary Service for patients with a rare form of cancer. These patients are admitted from around the country and usually stay in hospital for at least two weeks so input is a mix of virtual and in person support. </p> <p>We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to contribute to supporting patients during this highly emotive time. This includes conducting virtual pre-admission assessment and pre-surgery psychological support, in hospital face to face interventions and post discharge support offered virtually.</p> <p>This psychology service is one of a kind in the country and although it has been established for over 8 years it is still growing and we are always looking for new ways to support our patients. We have a well-resourced research team and an interest in research and evaluation will be a real benefit</p> <p>This is a role with structure but also a lot of scope to develop it and make it your own. Lead Mental Health Practitioner

<p>Are you ready to take on an exciting role working in Adult Mental Health on a full or part-time basis with the New Forest CMHT (West) team based at Waterford House in New Milton.</p> <p>If you're innovative, proactive, and passionate about providing high-quality holistic care, then we would love to hear from you. You will have a broad depth of mental health experience working with individuals who have severe and enduring mental illness.</p> <p>You will be responsible for care-coordinating caseload of service users with complex long-term mental health problems who find it difficult to engage with services. You will have experience in assessing and formulating individual intervention plans and outcome measures for adults with complex mental health problems and have current knowledge of NHS policies and practices in mental health. You will work in a strengths-based and recovery-focused way to support service users to meet their mental health needs.</p> <p>To act as care coordinator to an agreed caseload of service users with severe and enduring mental illness. To supervise the work of a small team of practitioners within the wider Community Treatment Team. To undertake ongoing assessment, treatment and evaluation for service users known to the Service.</p> <p>We will consider applicants from Band 5 practitioners who are looking for their first community post.</p>

Community Mental Health Practitioner - New Forest CMHT (West)

<p><b>Calling Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioners! Do you have a passion for working with older adults?</b></p> <p><b>If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!</b></p> <p>Based at Cromwell House, Winchester, the Older Adults CMHT offers assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and support for people with a deterioration in cognition and/or dementia and over 65's who present with functional mental health illnesses. We work closely with carers and other services, such as Adult Health and Social Care and with the voluntary sector.</p> <p>The CMHT is a lively, dynamic, and supportive multi-disciplinary team which provides care coordination and recovery focused care for individuals with complex and challenging mental health needs.</p> <p>You will need excellent assessment and communication skills. In addition, you will carry a caseload and participate in the team's duty system. As a senior clinician, you will need to work alongside other agencies to promote holistic recovery focused care as well as producing reports, supervising staff and running clinics as necessary.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have sound clinical skills, be able to coordinate complex care, have good administration and IT skills, as well as good report writing, organisational skills and working knowledge of CPA processes and safeguarding.</p> <p>Applicants must have a driving licence suitable for use in the United Kingdom and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Our working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00.</p>
