  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Primary &amp; Community Mental Health Team. (PCMH). The person should be someone who is willing to engage with both health and community working to support existing structures of clinical care in conjunction with our social prescribing and self-management offer.</p>
<p>You will be joining a vibrant and supportive team of well-established Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Clinical Associate Psychologists who are able to offer supervision, support, and professional development.The person should be comfortable in supporting patients both one to one as well as groups and be passionate about supporting clinical and non-clinical colleagues to build their skills in supporting patients with long term mental health conditions</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will work as part of the wider Primary &amp; Community Mental Health Service working across Sheffield's primary care networks. You will be responsible for developing close links with GP Practices, VCSE organisations, secondary care services and families/carers to ensure patients with serious mental illness can quickly access the care, support, and treatment they need in their local community.</p>
<p>You will assess needs, provide extended brief interventions, psychological interventions, and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team (involving mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, social prescribers, peer support workers, occupational therapy, and pharmacy)</p>

Clinical Associate Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist with relevant experience to join the leadership team in our Home Treatmentservice in Sheffield. The team works with a range of partner agencies, including GP's and VCSE organisations, to deliver interventions and treatment to people with a range of mental health difficulties in crisis including those with serious mental illness with a focus on reducing risk and avoiding hospital admission. The successful candidate will join a large team of supportive multi-professionals alongside clinical and forensic psychologists, psychotherapists and clinical associate psychologists within the acute, crisis and inpatient psychology team.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of clinical, operational and leadership roles. There are ongoing opportunities in the service to shape the psychology clinical pathway and the successful applicant will be actively involved in 'Home First' development. The role involves the co-ordination and organisation of the work of psychologists/ psychotherapists and other clinical members of the team to provide high quality psychologically-based care and treatment. The post holder will maintain a clinical caseload, provide clinical supervision, reflective practice and debrief and will actively work with other clinical leads in the service. The psychology team is research active and has close links with Sheffield University.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To provide clinical leadership and operational management for the Psychology team within the Home Treatment and urgent and crisis service in Sheffield.</p> <p>To provide clinical supervision and line management to psychologists/psychotherapists, clinical associate psychologists, mental health and wellbeing practitioners, assistant(s), trainee(s) and other professionals (where required). You will be responsible for the systematic governance of psychological practice and the co-ordination and organisation of the work of your team.</p> <p>You will support the team to monitor waiting lists and will support the co-ordination of resources available to the team by responding to referrals, making autonomous professional and clinical judgements based upon complex information, prioritising accordingly and contributing to multidisciplinary decision making. You will also use research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.</p> <p>To deliver assessment, formulation, and interventions in-line with evidence-based practice, though keeping client need at the heart of the work and offer highly specialised advice and consultation on service users' psychological care.</p> <p>To advise on and support the management of demand and capacity within the service.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>To provide a high-quality, specialist clinical psychology service to older adults admitted to the inpatient mental health ward. The postholder will deliver psychological assessment, formulation, interventions and group therapy for individuals experiencing complex mental health difficulties, cognitive decline, and/or dementia-related conditions. They will also contribute to staff training, supervision, and service development, supporting the ward in delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Clinical :</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide specialist psychological assessments using a range of psychometric, neuropsychological, and observational tools.</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and share psychological formulations to inform multidisciplinary care planning.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Deliver individual and group psychological interventions tailored to the needs of older adults (e.g. CBT, ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, reminiscence approaches).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Offer consultation and advice to colleagues on psychological aspects of care.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Conduct cognitive assessments to assist with diagnosis of dementia and other neurocognitive disorders.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support risk assessment and management from a psychological perspective.</p>
</li>
<li>Work as an integral member of the ward's MDT (psychiatrists, nurses, OTs, social workers, physiotherapists, etc.).</li>
</ul>

<p>Contribute to daily handovers, ward rounds, and discharge planning meetings.</p>
