Join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role within our Rehabilitation Pathway, which comprises of Willow Ward, inpatient rehab and The Mental Health Rehabilitation Team, community.</p><p>In this role you will be responsible for providing highly specialised Clinical Leadership across the rehabilitation services in somerset for service users with complex severe and enduring mental health difficulties across the rehabilitation pathway. You will be responsible for coordinating and providing specialist assessment, formulation, consultation, training and supervision.</p><p>As part of the leadership team, you will deliver clinical leadership when required and play a vital role in designing and shaping new services.   <p>You will independently manage complex cases as an autonomous practitioner, applying guidelines, policies, and research, and seeking consultation when needed. You will support capacity monitoring and caseload management within the Rehabilitation Pathway to ensure efficiency and equitable access.</p><p>Responsibilities include providing expert consultancy to staff and professionals on assessment, case formulation, and interventions; delivering specialised psychological assessments and treatments; and participating in multidisciplinary discussions and planning.   <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychological Therapist or Counsellor to join NHS Somerset Talking Therapies Service for Depression and Anxiety, working within either our South Somerset Team (Yeovil/Chard) or our Taunton Team.</p><p>NHS Somerset Talking Therapies is a high-performing service with one of the best recovery rates in the country. We have excellent links with the voluntary sector and secondary care through the Open Mental Health Somerset initiative. As part of our multi-professional workforce in primary care, you will support adults experiencing depression, anxiety and long-term health conditions, offering therapy both face-to-face and via video link. Flexible working opportunities are available.</p><p>Applicants who do not yet hold a Talking Therapies-compliant qualification in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) or Person Centre Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD) will be considered for a Band 6 recruit-to-train position, with full training provided.</p>

The post will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children's services.</p> <p>We offer excellent training and career progression opportunities as well as a variety of staff benefits.</p> <p>Job Role</p> <p>You will be providing a therapeutic service to young people placed within community residential setting by assessing and identifying their needs and meeting them through consultation and training to Residential and Care staff, direct therapeutic work, care planning and management in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants.</p> <p>The core of your role you will be providing specialist assessments of children and young people within the residential setting. So, subsequently, you will formulate and implement plans of therapeutic intervention/management of children and young people's presentation based on psychological understanding the difficulties within the current evidence-based practice, in conjunction with the wider MDT at the setting.</p> <p>Further duties are described in the attached Job Description.</p> <p>Candidate Profile</p> <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly team.</p> <p>Please note, due to changes implemented by the Government to the UK immigration policy, individuals who require a Health and Care Visa or a Skilled Worker Visa may no longer be eligible for sponsorship where the UKVI salary threshold is not met or if the occupation is not included in the updated Immigration Salary List (ISL).
