An exciting opportunity has arisen in NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies for a Clinical Lead to support the delivery of our clinical services. 
Our Talking Therapy team consists of a range of Psychological therapists working across steps 2, 3 and 4 delivering NICE evidenced talking therapies. Treatment is delivered by telephone, in groups, face to face and using digital therapy options.
 
The role of Clinical Lead provides strategic clinical leadership of the service and is jointly responsible with the Service Manager in the planning, development and delivery of a high quality, responsive and accessible NHS Talking Therapies service. You will support the Deputy Clinical Lead, Step Leads and Senior Clinicians with clinical decisions and be the point of contact for the practitioners, identifying best practice and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement . 
You will develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies remains a respected and valued partner within the changing mental health landscape. You will represent the service at local, regional and national level by building relationships with the ICB, partner agencies and clinical forums.

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Senior Psychological Therapist</strong> to work within the Acute Inpatient Psychological Services team at St George's Park hospital, Morpeth.</p> <p>The Acute Inpatient Service at St George's Park consists of two male wards and one female ward of 19 beds each.</p> <p>Within inpatient services, we hold the value of being creative and very much welcome new and improved processes and ideas. The service has a strong commitment to CPD and professional development, and we want to nurture each clinician in their career longer term.</p> <p>You will be joining the Psychological Services Inpatient team who work across Acute, Rehabilitation and Older Adult inpatient wards. Our team is made up of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Art Psychotherapists and Assistant Psychologists. We also have a therapy dog in the service. We are a friendly, inclusive and diverse group of practitioners who bring a range of interests, experience and skills to the work we do. The Psychology team is well embedded into the respective wards within each pathway but are also located together in terms of office space at St George's Park which means that we maintain strong working relationships with each other across pathways as well.</p>  <p>We welcome informal conversations about the post.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will have the opportunity to:</p>  <p> Provide specialist psychological assessments (including neuropsychological assessment) and interventions with service users experiencing a broad range of mental health problems.</p> <p> Facilitate team supervision/ reflective practice and debriefs.</p> <p> Utilise research skills to design and conduct evaluations of the service. It is anticipated that these will lead to peer-reviewed publications.</p> <p> Design and deliver training to ward-based staff and MDT colleagues specifically relevant to their needs.</p> <p> Provide supervision to and support to MDT staff and a Higher Assistant Psychologist.</p>

Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Psychological Therapist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are recruiting for a 0.8WTE 18 month fixed term Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to work across our Northumberland and North Tyneside Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) teams to backfill seconded time. You will be joining a passionate, supportive and skilled network of psychosis therapists across the Trust.</p> <p>You will work closely with well established multidisciplinary teams across a range of tasks, such as providing specialist assessments and psychological therapy to people presenting with first episode psychosis, and contributing to team training and supervision as required. You will be well supported by the MDT and psychology colleagues within the team and the wider psychology network. There are strong links with national research programmes.</p> <p>We fully support our psychologists to achieve the post graduate qualification in Family Interventions and Post Graduate Certificate for CBT in Psychosis and Bipolar, to work towards British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accreditation.</p> <p>The post holder will be clinically supervised by a senior psychologist / psychological therapist and professionally supervised by the consultant clinical psychologist. You will join a wider supportive and skilled network of psychological professionals across the psychosis pathway in the North Community CBU.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will provide one to one assessments, individual and family therapy, and group interventions. Psychology is an integral part of the EIP team; facilitating formulation; contributing to assessment; providing supervision and consultation to Community Practitioners as needed; and contributing to regular training and development events. You will receive regular supervision and will be supported to maintain ongoing continuing professional development.</p> <p>Therapy is based around highly individualised formulation. We work collaboratively with individuals and families/systems around them in a trauma-informed and neuro-affirming way. Typical therapy work includes helping people make sense of their psychosis and working with paranoia, voice-hearing, traumatic events, childhood adversity, anxiety and bereavement.</p> <p>The team contribute to delivering Northumberland Mood on Track (an online CBT group for those with a diagnosis of bi-polar disorder) in partnership with psychology staff from the Northumberland Community Treatment Teams. There is the opportunity for the post holder to contribute to this provision, and the wider development of our group work offer.</p> <p>The post holder will also support the ongoing implementation of team training and CPD as well as providing group supervision to Community Practitioners.</p>
