  <p>The Isle of Wight Talking Therapies Service are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This a permanent, full-time position.</p><p>The post holder will have a recognised PWP qualification. They will conduct initial mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based low intensity interventions to clients on the Isle of Wight. This may include cognitive re-structuring, graded exposure, behavioural experiments, guided self-help, computerised CBT, and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be via; video, telephone or face to face in a community clinic.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Upon completion of the initial assessment the post holder will identify the mental health cluster that the client will be assigned to in accordance with the mental health clustering tool.</p><p>The post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions via differing modalities, such as; a group setting, face to face, video chat and telephone.</p><p>Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.</p><p>Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, where the client has given permission.</p><p>Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.</p><p>Manage and convey information which may be of a sensitive and/or distressing nature.</p><p>Analyse and interpret patient outcome measures such as PHQ9 and GAD7 and to then administer the appropriate evidence-based intervention, monitored through caseload management.</p><p>Assess clinical risk and refer to specialist mental health services as indicated autonomously if assessed as urgent, or in collaboration with the caseload manager if the risk is assessed as low but the client's needs are beyond that of brief psychological interventions.</p><p>Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary or step-up the person's treatment to high intensity psychological therapy.</p>

To make sure we get the best talent on our team, we are open to and actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and sections of the community, including diverse ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodiverse individuals.</p> Your Role <p>As DASH and Young People's Counsellor, you will work as part of the Therapeutic Services and DASH teams, supporting young people from 11 to 25 years in Southampton who are accessing drug or alcohol support through DASH and young people who need counsellor intervention for Tier 2 Mental Health issues.</p> <p>Your role will include assessment and the delivery of one-to-one counselling and specialist therapeutic interventions of young people that have already undergone support from a DASH caseworker and have then been identified as needing therapy.</p> Your key responsibilities will include: <ul> <li>Hold a caseload of young people, providing face-to-face, phone and virtual counselling</li> <li>Deliver counselling assessments, counselling and appropriate therapeutic interventions to young people, working in a goal based 6 week review process and extending for further sessions if needed for DASH young people</li> <li>Deliver counselling and appropriate therapeutic interventions to young people, working with CORE OMS on a 6 8 session counselling model</li> <li>Use appropriate tools to measure young people's progress in counselling at set points along their journey with No Limits</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with other professionals, partners, and statutory organisations, ensuring effective support and seamless onward referral for young people</li> <li>Provide support and guidance to volunteers involved in the provision of counselling and other therapeutic interventions</li> <li>Have a commitment to learning and growth that enable therapeutic work to follow this</li> </ul> <p>We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the children and young people we work with, and as such, you must show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours which flow from the No Limits ethos.
