  <p>HCRG Care Group Wiltshire Children and Young Peoples emotional wellbeing service are currently seeking a passionate and experienced children and young person's counsellor to work in the team. You will provide support to children and young people who may be experiencing a range of issues, such as but not limited to anxiety, gender dysphoria, depression, family problems and self- harm. Support will be provided in person and/or remotely depending on the clients needs.</p><p>This role is part of the wider wellbeing team who offer early support such as group work and positive activities with the aim of preventing escalation to more specialist CAMHS services.</p><p>You will have an active caseload of children and young people within the getting help sphere of support and will use evidence-based therapeutic models. We are an enthusiastic and innovative team that values the input and contribution of all our staff and strives to offer the best possible services to our clients.</p> <p>We provide a wide range of psychological therapies, including CBT, EMDR, ACT, DBT, CAT, Integrative approaches, Schema-focused therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Solution-focused methods, delivered in both group and individual contexts, primarily on an outpatient basis.</p> <p>About You</p> <p>The successful applicant will have clearly demonstrable skills and knowledge in working with people from the older adult age range. For this senior role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with different client groups in secondary mental health settings, and of having been responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions. You will need to show evidence of clinical leadership and innovations that have improved services in which you have worked.</p> <p>As the provision of supervision, consultation, and training to colleagues within the service is highly valued and an essential part of the role, being able to demonstrate skill and experience in this area would be an advantage.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Clinical Psychologist (Grade 8a) to join our friendly Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North East Wiltshire, and the Wiltshire Psychological Therapies Service (PTS),for a period of six months.</p> <p>This locum role is primarily based in Chippenham and Devizes, while providing clinical services to the older adult population throughout Wiltshire.</p> <p>Working as part of both the Wiltshire PTS and CMHT offers psychologists the opportunity to treat a range of disorders and presenting difficulties. We are an enthusiastic and innovative team that values the input and contribution of all our staff and strives to offer the best possible services to our clients.</p> <p>We provide a wide range of psychological therapies, including CBT, EMDR, ACT, DBT, CAT, Integrative approaches, Schema-focused therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Solution-focused methods, delivered in both group and individual contexts, primarily on an outpatient basis.</p> <p>The successful applicant will have clearly demonstrable skills and knowledge in working with people from the older adult age range. For this senior role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with different client groups in secondary mental health settings, and of having been responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions.   <p>We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Practitioner to join our team. NWIS is a fantastic place to work, providing opportunities to develop both clinical and leadership skills--skills that may be harder to gain in other roles due to the fast-paced and high-acuity nature of our service.</p> <p><strong>NOTE:</strong> This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP Trust policy, all newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of the advertised role banding. All NQSWs are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within two years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances--in which case it may be extended for a further two years.</p> <p>If you have been appointed to an advertised Band 6 role, this will be an automatic progression following confirmation of your successful ASYE completion. If you have been appointed to a Band 5 post, you will then be eligible to apply for a subsequent Band 6 vacancy upon successful ASYE completion.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Band 6 clinician will work shifts including evenings and weekends, but we are pleased to confirm that night shifts are no longer required. Our service now operates between 07:30 and 22:00, and we support flexible working arrangements, including the ability to request specific shifts. We welcome full-time and part-time applications and are happy to consider flexible working agreements.</p> <p>The Band 6 will have a role leading the team.</p> <p>Within this role they may:</p> <ul>  <li>Triage referrals to the service and make recommendations.</li>  <li>Complete holistic psychosocial assessments within the community.</li>  <li>Complete gatekeeping assessments to facilitate admission when home treatment is not felt to be a viable / safe option.</li>  <li>Attend Mental Health Act assessments on Bluebell Place of Safety, and formulate home treatment plans if home treatment is indicated.</li>  <li>Implement Risk Management and Care Plans for the effective home treatment of Service Users utilising least restrictive practice at every opportunity.</li>  <li>Support with medication management and concordance within community.</li>  <li>Provide telephone support to service users who ring in during times of crisis.</li>  <li>Provide supervision to Band 4 colleagues.</li> </ul> <p>There will be a comprehensive induction to the role and a supported period of supernumerary to aid with transition. </p> <p><strong>Please see attached Job Description file for a full list of duties and responsibilities.</strong></p>
