Clinical Associate Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) were established in Nottingham City in February 2020, providing an early intervention and preventative service for over 892 children and young people and their families so far. This includes providing support for anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, as well as running workshops to groups of children within educational settings, on themes such as transition, resilience and wellbeing, general wellbeing hacks, worry and distractions and emotions through puberty.</p><p>Currently MHST are supporting children and young people in over 70 educational settings, which will increase over the next 18 months to around 100 sites across the city. The expansion is being funded through £1.01m from NHS England and Health Education England as part of a national initiative.</p><p>We work in partnership with the school community and other wellbeing services to develop a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, building on what is being done already.   <p>We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist with relevant experience to join the leadership team in our Home Treatmentservice in Sheffield. The team works with a range of partner agencies, including GP's and VCSE organisations, to deliver interventions and treatment to people with a range of mental health difficulties in crisis including those with serious mental illness with a focus on reducing risk and avoiding hospital admission. The successful candidate will join a large team of supportive multi-professionals alongside clinical and forensic psychologists, psychotherapists and clinical associate psychologists within the acute, crisis and inpatient psychology team.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of clinical, operational and leadership roles. There are ongoing opportunities in the service to shape the psychology clinical pathway and the successful applicant will be actively involved in 'Home First' development.   <p>To provide clinical leadership and operational management for the Psychology team within the Home Treatment and urgent and crisis service in Sheffield.</p> <p>To provide clinical supervision and line management to psychologists/psychotherapists, clinical associate psychologists, mental health and wellbeing practitioners, assistant(s), trainee(s) and other professionals (where required). You will be responsible for the systematic governance of psychological practice and the co-ordination and organisation of the work of your team.</p> <p>You will support the team to monitor waiting lists and will support the co-ordination of resources available to the team by responding to referrals, making autonomous professional and clinical judgements based upon complex information, prioritising accordingly and contributing to multidisciplinary decision making.       <p><strong>We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior High Intensity CBT Therapist to join our NHS Derbyshire Talking Therapies service!</strong></p><p><strong>This is a hybrid role with main base in Chesterfield, and you may a</strong><strong>lso be required to work at various locations across Derbyshire, including but not limited to, Derby and Chesterfield.</strong></p><p><strong>Working hours for this job are Monday to Friday - service hours between 8am and 8pm, with the expectation of at least one late shift per week (12-8).</strong></p><p>As a Senior HIT, youll provide evidence-based therapy for people experiencing complex anxiety and depression, while also taking a leadership role in the team.
