  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff. Psychology is a vital and influential field, represented at every level in our Trust, including the roles of our Chief Therapies Officer, and also our Chief Clinical Information Officer who are both Consultant Clinical Psychologists.</p>

  <p>Wolverhampton Talking Therapies offers intervention for Depression and all anxiety disorders. As a service we excel with positive client feedback and exceptionally high job satisfaction from our team.</p> <p>We are looking for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) with the passion and drive to join our clinical team of PWPs, counsellors and CBT Therapists.</p> <p>Whilst accreditation is desirable, if you are not yet accredited we are able to support you in applying once successfully appointed.</p> <p><strong>It is essential that successful applicants possess a qualification from Talking Therapies Approved Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Training Course.</strong> (Without this, your application will not be considered).</p>

  <p>The role of a PWP is very dynamic, and though at its core is the treatment of Depression and anxiety, no two days are the same.</p>
<p>As a PWP you will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of competence and have experience working in mental health services . You will deliver Step 2 intervention to clients presenting with Depression and/or generalised anxiety disorder, using modalities of telephone, video, face-to-face and computerised.</p>
<p>Candidates are also expected to engage themselves in clinical and case management supervision, and be willing to undertake continuous professional development. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The post is 0.5wte Senior Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist for Longview Ward which is the female acute ward at Hopewood Park. The post will be part of the wider MDT working with service users on Longview Ward.</p>
<p>We are delighted to be offering a Band 8a Clinical Psychology development post within our Adult Inpatients Service based at Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland and are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to provide specialist psychological input on our wards. Previous experience of working in an inpatient setting either pre/during or post clinical psychology training is desirable but not essential.</p>
<p>There are three acute adult inpatient wards at Hopewood Park, two male and one female, Each has the provision of a 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours) Psychologist, supported by a 0.5 WTE Higher Assistant Psychologist. There is an 8c Consultant Psychologist post across all the 3 acute wards.</p>
<p>Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services provide multi-disciplinary care using a biopsychosocial model for service users over the age of 18. The acute service provides care for service users with acute mental health needs who require assessment and treatment in hospital. Service users admitted to hospital are often highly complex and have a range of experiences and difficulties including neurodiversity, psychosis, personality difficulties and learning difficulties, risk to self and others, forensic issues and behaviours that challenge.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post involves providing expertise in applying specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive assessments, collaborative formulation and interventions with service users and working with multi-disciplinary teams to embed formulation and trauma informed care. This includes individual and group based work and involvement of families and carers. It will involve supporting multidisciplinary staff working with service users through supervision, team formulation, contributing to understanding complex risk, developing behaviour support plans and providing reflective practice sessions and training to the teams. The role may also involve research, service evaluation and audit. You will be supported to develop your skills in these areas and in addition all of the wards have Higher Assistant Psychologist time and this provides opportunities for the development of skills in supervision.</p>

The secure services consist of an LD male medium secure and a male and female low secure service and an autism only male low secure service.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible. The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management, and it is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or considerable experience of working with people with Intellectual (learning) disabilities who present considerable risk to others.</p>

  <p>The key elements of the role include delivering psychological assessments, developing case/team formulation, running individual and group therapies. The post holder will offer reflective practice, supervision and training (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists), and have opportunities to conduct audit/research. Clinical or Forensic Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Psychology service at Stockton Hall Hospital. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Consultant Psychologist, with robust experience within a forensic setting; someone who is a confident leader and is keen to develop to contribute to service development, including trauma informed care.</p><p>At Stockton Hall Hospital, just outside York, we are well-known for producing positive clinical outcomes for highly complex patients. We currently provide a medium-secure care setting in which patients access a broad range of therapeutic interventions including one-to-one and group-based psychological treatments.</p><p>Our service has produced excellent recovery results for patients, maximising their opportunity to progress to conditions of lower-security and community settings as safely and efficiently as possible.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul> <li>You will be a confident leader who is keen to help develop others.</li> <li>You will understand the dynamics of working in a secure hospital and be able to help offer containment and support to those who need it within a culture of compassion.</li> <li>You will provide professional leadership to the psychology team, contribute to the development of services and work to influence organisational thinking relating to the delivery of psychologically informed care.</li> <li>You will advise at a senior management level on psychological aspects of organisational functioning, including the health and well-being of our colleagues.</li> <li>You will also work clinically with a dynamic multi-professional team leading development of individual formulations and psychological assessment. With the support of other members of the psychology team, you will support the development and delivery of behavioural and other psychological interventions for patients and service users and provide appropriately developed psychologically informed guidance to reduce risks, aid recovery and independence.</li> <li>As Head of Psychology you will be also be working with clients with complex needs.</li> <li>You will hold a clinical caseload, develop and deliver formulation led care, and be competent in a range of therapeutic delivery such as EMDR, DBT, CBT and CAT.</li></ul>
