You will have an important strategic and liaison function to support the transition of patients between services.   <ul>  <li>The systematic provision of Specialist Psychological Therapy to the patients in PICU.</li>  <li>To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychology interventions.</li>  <li>To ensure the clinical effectiveness of the service, taking on a leadership and service development role within the PICU service.</li>  <li>To be regularly responsible for providing training to the MDT and providing professional support, guidance and supervision to psychological therapists in the service.</li> </ul> <p>A PICU is a dynamic environment and there will be the expectation that the candidate is able to take substantial professional responsibility and work autonomously providing high quality direct work which will include psychological assessments, formulations and brief therapeutic work, groups, family and individual work as well as assisting with positive behaviour support plans.   <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8B Principal Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Walsall Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. This multi-disciplinary, community service serves the Walsall area.</p> <p>Walsall CLDT is supportive, forward-thinking &amp; committed to improving patient care. It serves people with a learning disability experiencing significant mental health needs and/or displaying significant behavioural distress. It is part of a stepped care whole-pathway model linking with the IST, FCT, A&amp;T Inpatient services &amp; local Commissioning services.</p> <p>There are likely to be opportunities to work across the division, linking in to our community based services.   <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress.</p>
<p>Guided by recovery principles, the team maintains close liaison and pathways with a range of existing and specialist mental health community teams, social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the Walsall area in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>

  <p>The post-holder will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with a learning disability. They will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with integrative, client centred, therapeutic interventions.</p> <p>They will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. They will have experience and skills to oversee the performance and development of existing psychological pathways, such as Trauma, PBS and Dementia.</p> <p>There are opportunities to develop new and existing group programmes.   <p>To provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to children and young people who are in the care system and their care givers, with complex and severe mental health problems.   <p>Do you have a passion for young people's mental health?Do you thrive in multi-disciplinary settings where psychological skills are highly valued?</p> <p>Working in a very friendly and dynamic CAMHS Service, we have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist based mainly in our Buxton Core CAMHS Team. We are happy to consider flexible options.</p> <p>You will support our psychological therapies pathways, and this is most likely to be in our DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) or CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) Team; according to service needs.</p> <p>You will also support the service transforming our ROMs (Routine Outcome Measures) delivery or support our existing clinical supervision programme; according to service needs. There are opportunities for indirect working (e.g. consultation).</p> <p>Our Service has 10 teams with excellent track records working closely together, with opportunities for gaining different experiences to develop your portfolio. Our internal training programme for staff is positively-rated and clinical supervision practice is highly valued. We value the diversity of our clinicians, and the skill sets they bring.</p> <p>Whilst this is an 8a post we are very happy to receive applications from soon to be or newly qualified Clinical Psychologists in a preceptorship role (with a structured development plan to progress with regular support). We have well established links with the training courses and regularly have trainees on placement.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a Clinical Psychologist in Core CAMHS you will:</p> <p> Provide specialist psychological/therapy-based assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties</p> <p> Provide a pivotal lead role in supporting our Service (either improving our Routine Outcome Measures delivery or supporting our existing Clinical Supervision Programme (according to service need)</p> <p> Be client-centred and a goal-focused member of our multi-disciplinary service, championing ROMs and contributing to service developments, as appropriate.</p> <p> Empower and support young people on their journey to recovery</p> <p> Offer clinical advice and support, consultations, supervision and training for professionals in our CAMHS Service.</p> <p> Be an active member of an experienced multi-disciplinary service and contribute to team and service developments.</p> <p> Contribute to case discussions and a 'careteam' approach to formulation.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>
