  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified psychology graduate to contribute to the Dementia Assessment and Support service (DASS) here in Shropshire.</p> <p>This post is for a fixed term of 12 months, full-time. It is anticipated that we will not be able to acquire additional funding for an extension of the post after this time.</p> <p>The post will provide an opportunity to develop clinical skills and competencies working in a specialist service. The post would also be suitable for a graduate with strong research skills who wishes to pivot towards a more clinical role.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post will specifically focus on providing psychologically informed reviews of clients and carers known to our service and additionally, the collation and analysis of significant volumes of complex audit data.</p> <p>Firstly, your working time will be providing a holistic assessment of client and carer needs and drawing on additional team support or signposting to relevant external agencies. <em>This will be intensive work with clearly defined objectives and expectations.</em></p> <p>Additionally, you will undertake a project to collate over a decade of neuropsychological test data relevant to the assessment and diagnosis of clients, summarise this data and produce reports and papers based on the findings.</p> <p>There may also be additional scope for initial history taking and information gathering of clients who are awaiting further assessment within our assessment and diagnosis pathway.</p> <p>Much of your client contact will be telephone or video based.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Psychology service at Stockton Hall Hospital. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Consultant Psychologist, with robust experience within a forensic setting; someone who is a confident leader and is keen to develop to contribute to service development, including trauma informed care.</p><p>At Stockton Hall Hospital, just outside York, we are well-known for producing positive clinical outcomes for highly complex patients. We currently provide a medium-secure care setting in which patients access a broad range of therapeutic interventions including one-to-one and group-based psychological treatments.</p><p>Our service has produced excellent recovery results for patients, maximising their opportunity to progress to conditions of lower-security and community settings as safely and efficiently as possible.</p>

  <p>To provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to children and young people who are in the care system and their care givers, with complex and severe mental health problems. Rise CLA Senior Clinical Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>ESNEFT is a large NHS Foundation Trust serving a population of approximately 1 million people in the Suffolk and North Essex area.</p>
<p>ESNEFT is starting a new Complex Obesity Service which will deliver bariatric/metabolic surgery, endoscopic and medical weight management treatments to the Suffolk and North Essex population. We have designed our service with many innovations to make it fit for purpose for the current obesity landscape.</p>
<p>We have combined the traditional Tier 3 and Tier 4 into a single comprehensive service (Tier 4 PLUS) and will offer all treatments including IWMP, GLP-1 medications, endoscopic and surgical bariatric procedures.</p>
<p>A national BOMSS survey of bariatric psychologists in 2022 found that there was a significant disparity between what activity bariatric psychologists wanted to be delivering within Specialist Weight Management Services and the activity they were actually carrying out. Psychologists spent most of their time assessing patients for bariatric surgery or other treatments whereas they would prefer to focus on psychological treatment of patients who need it.</p>
<p>We have allocated funding and created outline pathways for psychological assessment and treatment to provide a quality psychological element to the service. We are keen to recruit a psychologist who can continue to innovate and develop these assessment and treatment approaches using the latest evidence and quality standards.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This post would be available full or part time and options for flexible working hours and remote working will be considered by mutual agreement.</p>
<p>The role within the Weight Management Service will involve both direct 1:1 patient care, service development, advice to other MDT members and the potential for group patient sessions. You will be a core member of the Multidisciplinary Team meetings and discuss each patient's suitability for treatment to agree with other members of the MDT a shared decision for treatment for each patient.</p>
<p>We are recruiting Bariatric Psychologists to develop and deliver this new service and currently seeking an experienced psychologist looking to progress their career in a Band 8b Principal Clinical Psychologist position. Supervision will be provided by experienced Consultant Bariatric Psychologists.</p>
