  <p>We are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Mental Health Team in South Warwickshire. This is a key clinical leadership role, supporting the development and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for adults experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties such as trauma, mood disorders and co-morbid physical and mental health problems.</p> <p>You will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to psychological professionals and other multidisciplinary colleagues, alongside offering a highly specialist psychological therapies service to service users. <p>Guided by recovery principles, the team maintains close liaison and pathways with a range of existing and specialist mental health community teams, social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the Walsall area in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>

Remote ADHD Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8B Principal Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Walsall Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate to severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a developmental Band 7-8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist or experienced 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist developmental to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services at Brooklands Hospital. This is a full-time position primarily based within the autism low secure service, with some hours in the LD secure services.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management and is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams. Positive Behavioural Support is a key component of our treatment approach and philosophy and the successful candidate will work closely with others on developing new and existing service projects, develop new and existing group programmes and provide support in training others. There is lots of personal and service development opportunity within this role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will ideally have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who present considerable risk to others. You will use your psychological skills and experience to provide assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulations, and reflective practice.</p> <p>You may also supervise others (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists) and be involved in training others, such as ward staff and multidisciplinary colleagues. Training others and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research is an important part of this role.</p> <p>The psychology department at Brooklands is a well-established and supportive service and the successful applicant will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities. The teamwork from a number of different therapeutic approaches including CBT, CAT, CFT, EMDR and Schema Therapy.   <p>To provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to children and young people who are in the care system and their care givers, with complex and severe mental health problems. You will use your expertise to build on a range of innovative approaches developed within other Turning Point MHTR services, working closely with their Clinical Lead under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. In addition to being responsible for the systematic governance of the Leicestershire MHTR service alongside operational colleagues, you will offer practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues as well as local agencies and organisations. </p> <p> Inspiring, developing and coordinating everyone on your team will of course, be a vital part of your role. Helping Senior Assistant, Assistant Psychologists and Peer Support Workers and teams to develop psychological formulation skills and a trauma-informed approach is a central part of this role. We will also ask you to have a small caseload of service users with complex needs, providing specialist psychological assessments and therapies. </p> <p> Beyond the operational level, you will have a significant impact on the strategic direction and development of the service as a whole. This will include building strong professional links with other statutory and voluntary service providers and using your expertise to develop meaningful support networks for our clients. You will also explore ways to continuously improve our services and integrate wider issues - housing, employment and finances, for example - into the overall treatment process. You will be invited to work with our national team of Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists to develop psychological and psycho-social approaches used across services and to further develop your career in a therapeutic specialism that fits with service needs. </p>  The Ideal Candidate <p> Along with up to date registration through the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist, you will need a doctorate in your professional specialism and proven ability to deliver psychological services. Your experience of leading and supervising clinical staff will ideally be supported by experience of working with substance misuse Service Users. Formal training in supervision, whilst not essential, would be desirable.
