  <p>We are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as our YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner.</p><p>The Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-disciplinary team which works with children and young people aged 10 -17 years old who have offended and are made subject to a range of community and custodial disposals.</p><p>The YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner will support children and young people by providing time-limited interventions, who are known to the YJS and are experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties, as part of an overall plan to reduce their risk of re-offending, harm to others and vulnerability.</p><p>This may include signposting or liaison with other service providers, and establishing exit strategies (via onward referral) to ensure ongoing support is available where it is deemed necessary. You will be supported by being co-managed by both CAMHS and the YJS manager, receive regular supervision and access to a wide range of professionals including mental health nurses, social workers, OT, associate practitioners, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, family therapist, CBT therapists, Creative Arts Therapists and consultant psychiatrists.</p><p>We pride ourselves in delivering high quality and innovative psychological solutions, working collaboratively with children, young people and their families to deliver dynamic and evidence-based therapies.</p>

  <p>Completion of initial assessments and screenings in relation to emotional and mental health to establish what level of support and or intervention is required.</p><p>Delivery of time-limited interventions to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties</p><p>Referral on to universal, early help or targeted services (or liaising with other health professionals) for onward assessment or support.</p><p>Undertakes a lead role within the YJS in respect of mental health and wellbeing, including provision of advice, guidance and specialist knowledge to staff in support of overall YJS practice and/or development of services.</p><p>Provide screening, care, and health promotion to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.</p><p>Design and deliver preventative and targeted work to children, young people and their families to address safeguarding and risk management concerns (including 1:1 and group work).</p><p>Maintain strong links between YJS and other relevant service providers (for example, but not limited to CCAMHS, FCAMHS, EIP, GP and Social Care) for effective liaison, signposting and onward referral as appropriate</p><p>Contribute to YJS performance against agreed targets and indicators through effective data inputting, service delivery and team-working.</p>

  <p>Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Psychologists, Family therapists, Psychotherapists, Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, and in a team where a number of specialist clinics are offered eg LD, NDC, FT, ED, you will find plenty of opportunities to learn from colleagues and share expertise.</p>
<p>On a day-to-day basis, you will be working within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service ensuring the systemic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients with eating disorders and complex mental health problems including severe, enduring and multiple disorders. You undertaking mental health assessments, formulating, risk assessing and devising evidence-based care plans for children and young people (CYP). Collaborative working is key and we are proud of the relationships the team has with partner agencies including Salisbury District Hospital.</p>

If so, we have an exciting part time opportunity (30 hours per week) in our in-patient mental health unit in central Southampton, joining our supportive and dynamic multi-disciplinary teams working with adults with a range of mental health conditions.This is not a conventional gym instructor role, you will be using exercise as a therapeutic tool. You will be flexible, creative, resilient, able to think on your feet and adapt sessions to suit the needs and abilities of service users. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be approachable and encouraging. You will facilitate individual and small group sessions, completing inductions and fitness plans. Facilities include cardio machines, weights and a cable machine.Previous experience of planning and facilitation sessions, designing programmes and a keen interest in working within the mental health setting is essential.You will receive regular supervision and be supported to develop your skills in working with service users and within this environment. Then, we would love to hear from you.</p><p>We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified HCPC Registered Clinical or Forensic to work within Ashford, our low secure inpatient unit for people with learning disabilities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Psychologist to clinically lead the psychological service as well as having an active involvement in wider service improvement and delivery projects.</p><p>We have a track record of innovation and service development which we strive to maintain and improve upon, being one of few services accredited by both the QNFMHS and QNLD. We have adapted and implemented the Good Lives Model of care to support a service-user led service whilst informing an individualised plan of care. The Multidisciplinary team are enthusiastic to work in a psychologically informed ethos supporting psychological models of care that are in place, including formulation, Positive Behaviour Support and more recently our adapted Dialectical Behaviour Therapy service to encourage a trauma-informed approach.</p><p>Close links exist with the Southampton Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Programme. The Trust supports continuing professional development and research activity, with established links with other Psychological Therapy Services within Forensic Services.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As well as being clinical lead for the Ashford low secure service, there will also be opportunities to undertake discrete complex pieces of work within our multidisciplinary Forensic Community Learning Disability Team (FCLDT) as well as leading the main CBT informed group psychological programmes across the two teams.</p><p>The role will allow you to administer a variety of neuropsychological and psychological assessments in addition to practicing direct therapy approaches and conducting comprehensive risk assessments. The service is always evolving so new psychological approaches are welcomed to meet the needs of our current patients. The candidate is to have excellent communications skills that can be adapted to meet individual patient needs as well as being able to work indirectly within established multidisciplinary teams. The role will require facilitation of formulation meetings and reflective practice sessions with the team to support high quality delivery of care as well as delivery of appropriate staff training.</p><p>The post holder will be supervised by the service Consultant Psychologist who is an Approved Clinician within the service, demonstrating the strong role Psychology has within the service. The role would particularly suit a psychologist who has special interests in working in forensic services and/or the learning disability field.</p>
