<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>

<p>You will provide the Ward Psychologist role for a male Learning Disability MSU, being an integral part of the multidisciplinary teams, providing psychological input to the service user groups, and supporting and supervising the Assistant Psychologist working on the ward.</p>
<p>We provide services for male and female patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. Our service users, many of whom have forensic histories, require long-term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple problems, challenging and high-risk behaviour and complex care needs. In addition to the mental health wards, Thornford Park has a 14-bedded low secure service for male patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, commissioned by NHS England, a medium/low secure service for females with a Learning Disability, and a medium secure service for males with Learning Disability.&nbsp; We also have two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, one for males and one for females, providing holistic assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing crisis.</p>
<p><strong>As the Clinical/Forensic Psychologist, you will be:</strong></p>

    <li>Autonomous in managing your own caseload, which will involve working with complex service-users.</li>

<p>As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park Hospital</p>

Part-Time Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We have an exciting opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours/week) band 5 Lived Experience Practitioner and Trainer, to join our Psychologically Informed Consultation and Training (PICT) team. This team sits within the Intensive Management of Personality Disorder and Clinical Therapies Team (IMPACTT).</p>
<p>The role of PICT is to support Berkshire Healthcare staff and partner organisations who work with clients that may meet criteria for the diagnosis of 'personality disorder'. We are a team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Lived Experience Practitioners (people who have their own experiences of accessing services for personality disorder and living with this diagnosis). </p>
<p>The PICT approach is to consult with the staff, individuals or teams, rather than working directly with the person using services. We offer consultation, training and support to community and inpatient settings, and to Primary Care Networks across Berkshire.</p>
<p>The post holder will bring lived experience and knowledge of personality disorder/difficulties to support the delivery of consultation and training, focusing on the upskilling of a wide range of professionals and teams, helping them to understand and work with compassion and confidence with people with difficulties that may be associated with the diagnosis of 'personality disorder'. </p>
<p>You will work closely and collaboratively with PICT colleagues to ensure a co-produced approach. You will have regular supervision and support in this role. </p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>Act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice/knowledge whilst participating in direct evidenced based patient care working as part of a multi- disciplinary team providing professional and clinical support to patients.</li>  <li>Undertake autonomous health assessments; diagnosing, treating and discharging patients within own competence. You will provide expert care and treatment to patients within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines.</li>  <li>Function in a variety of role dimensions: health care provider, educator, researcher, clinical advocate and implementer of clinical governance.</li>  <li>Be a senior clinician within the team. The role will predominantly be clinical, but also include some operational leadership and supervision to your small team of junior staff</li> </ul>  <p>You will clinically lead a small team consisting of newly qualified Nurses, Nurse Associates and Support Workers to provide care and interventions to a complex caseload of patients.   <p>Applications are invited for a Clinical / Applied Psychologist or Accredited Psychological Therapist. You will be an integral member of the Mid and North Hampshire Division's psychological therapies team. The post will be based in Basingstoke CMHT. Applicants should have a desire to embrace MDT working, training and team development. This post offers the opportunity to influence best clinical practice and the development of a psychologically informed and recovery focused CMHT.</p><p>We are seeking an enthusiastic clinician who has specialist interest and experience in working psychologically with trauma. The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy individually and through group programmes as well as offering advice, consultation, reflective practice, clinical formulation and training to staff within the multidisciplinary teams. Evaluation of interventions and the impact of the service in terms of benefit to clients is an important component of what we strive to do. The post holder will require specialist knowledge and experience in the application of at least one psychological therapy (CBT, DBT, CAT).</p>

  <p>The Mid and North Hampshire Psychological Therapies Team is a thriving active team of psychologists and psychological therapists working within primary care, secondary care, EIP and acute and crisis teams. We are dedicated to delivering superb quality, evidence-based interventions. We pride ourselves on contributing to the development and implementation of innovative interventions. The range of psychologically focused therapies we deliver include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and EMDR. This is a new post, and the post holder will join an established psychological therapies team, with access to high quality supervision and support.</p><p>The Trust has strong links with Southampton University, particularly with the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology, the MSc/Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Severe Mental Health Problems and training courses for IAPT.
