<p>The access teams (and all the BANES teams) are very compassionate, and there will be many staff across the teams who would support you along your journey in your new role. As we work towards a home treatment model, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team including newly introduced roles such as clinical associate psychologists. This range of scope allows for great interprofessional learning and training.</p>

This joint service between the NHS and SCC will provide four residential beds for children who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing social, emotional and/or mental health crisis. We aim to provide a safe, stable environment where children's needs can be assessed and plans can be formulated to support children to return to living in the community, ideally within a family environment.</p><p>Hampshire and IOW healthcare NHS Foundation trust are looking to recruit a senior mental health nurse/practitioner a to support the day-to-day management of young people admitted to Westwood House, as well as completing outreach work for young people &amp; families/carers, who are either due to be admitted or have recently been discharged.   <p><strong>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work across North Somerset CAMHS and the North Somerset Service for Children in Care and Care Leavers in this innovative post.</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will work collaboratively with social workers, foster carers, CAMHS professionals, and other health professionals. This role involves working four days within the Corporate Parenting Service, coordinating the work of a senior social worker and two family support workers within the CONSULT service. The remaining day will be based within the Community CAMHS Team, holding a small caseload and supporting the team to deliver effective interventions for children in care.</p>
<p>This is an exciting time to join the service, as the local authority is investing in developing innovative care options for children, and the successful candidate will be part of this development.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>This role involves delivering clinical expertise within specialist community services, aligned to a defined local care pathway serving a specific population--children who are looked after or under Special Guardianship Orders (SGO), referred by North Somerset CYPS.</strong> The postholder will work collaboratively with the management and leadership team to deliver services within an integrated care pathway model, guided by a clearly defined set of aims and objectives that are delivered and monitored through an integrated governance approach.</p>
<p>The role also includes delivering training programmes to foster carers, social workers, and CAMHS clinicians to enhance their understanding of the impact of trauma on children in care. In addition to core clinical psychology skills, the successful candidate will have experience working with children in care and possess strong knowledge and skills in trauma-informed practices.</p>

CAMHS Nurse - Care Coordinator

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) were established in Nottingham City in February 2020, providing an early intervention and preventative service for over 892 children and young people and their families so far. This includes providing support for anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, as well as running workshops to groups of children within educational settings, on themes such as transition, resilience and wellbeing, general wellbeing hacks, worry and distractions and emotions through puberty.</p><p>Currently MHST are supporting children and young people in over 70 educational settings, which will increase over the next 18 months to around 100 sites across the city. The expansion is being funded through £1.01m from NHS England and Health Education England as part of a national initiative.</p><p>We work in partnership with the school community and other wellbeing services to develop a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, building on what is being done already. We aim to achieve this goal through offering a range of services, including:</p><ul> <li>Improving access to mental health support and services.</li> <li>Delivering training and workshops for schools and parents</li> <li>Providing consultation to schools on mental health and wellbeing</li> <li>Individual and group interventions for children and young people experiencing difficulties with managing emotions</li> <li>And more!</li></ul>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul> <li>a strong understanding of how to work with children and young people who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties</li> <li>Knowledge of the educational system in England. Knowledge of children and young people gained through academic study in child development, child wellbeing or mental health.</li> <li>Successfully completed the HEE commissioned 1yr Education Mental Health Practitioner post graduate diploma AND/OR Successful completion of Certificate in Childrens Wellbeing Practice (CWP), with post qualification experience as a CWP and experience of working in schools.</li> <li>Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others in educational and health settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.</li> <li>Experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people or their families (e.g. Guided Self Help, CBT, parent work)</li> <li>Experience of assessing and meeting the communication needs of the schools to deliver psycho-education on mental health or emotional wellbeing to different groups including parents, teaching staff and young people.</li></ul>
