Training, supervision and special interests groups are available to enhance your competencies in delivering specific therapeutic interventions including FT-AN, CBT (including CBT-E), NET etc.</p> <p>As a more senior member of the team supervision, consultation and leadership are key and training and development opportunities related to this are multiple.</p> <p>You'll be spending your time in our Specialist Eating Disorders Team. The CAMHS teams are multidisciplinary and you will be part of a psychological therapies workforce that includes a Consultant Psychologist, band 7 Psychologist, clinical associate Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, CBT Trainees / Therapists and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Psychologists, Family therapists, Psychotherapists, Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, and in a team where a number of specialist clinics are offered eg LD, NDC, FT, ED, you will find plenty of opportunities to learn from colleagues and share expertise.</p> <p>On a day-to-day basis, you will be working within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service ensuring the systemic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients with eating disorders and complex mental health problems including severe, enduring and multiple disorders. You undertaking mental health assessments, formulating, risk assessing and devising evidence-based care plans for children and young people (CYP). Collaborative working is key and we are proud of the relationships the team has with partner agencies including Salisbury District Hospital.</p> <p>We have a strong psychology network and professional leadership across the 5 CAMHS teams in BSW (Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) and strong links with the Doctoral Training course at Bath University. </p>

Clinical Psychologist -Eating Disorders - Salisbury CAMHS

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are recruiting for clinicians who are ready to embark on a new and exciting role as trainee Systemic Family Practitioner (SFP) therapists within CAMHS. This is a great opportunity to receive excellent systemic training whilst putting new skills into practice within a clinical team with robust supervision.</p>
<p>The successful candidates will be working as SFP trainees within one of the CAMHS community teams for the duration of the one-year course and would split their time between training and carrying out clinical work. After successful completion of the course the fixed term training contract will end, however applicants would be encouraged to apply for any vacant posts within the service. </p>
<p>The course you will be completing at the University of Exeter and is the equivalent of year one (introduction) and year two (intermediate) in systemic practice, making you eligible to apply to undertake years 3 and 4 in family and systemic therapy. Which would then make you a qualified family and systemic psychotherapist.</p>
<p>To apply, you must meet the criteria for SFP training and also have a recognised professional background in mental health or related areas. If you do not have a Core Profession, you must complete a portfolio of evidence to show that you have equivalent training and experience.</p>
<p>Prior to this interview, you should have completed your KSA. You will be asked for a copy of you self-statement for KSA criterion 4 in the interview.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The clinical component of the role is working three days Monday- Wednesday in CAMHS, applying systemic skills to individual, parental and family sessions or consultations with the support/supervision of Family Therapists. The post-holders will work within multi-disciplinary teams to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality evidence-based systemic interventions for referred young people. </p>
<p>The post holders will undertake a post graduate training programme for this role and must show academic ability to fulfil this intensive training. The post holders will attend all university based taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed national curriculum and complete essays, case studies, a portfolio and present taped clinical work for supervision. Generally the academic component is two days at University per week Thursday and Fridays.</p>
